Playing in the NL ironically might end up being the difference maker. Sanchez staying in to hit in the bottom of the 4th after Robles tripled home a run and their crowd finally was back into it with Greinke looking shaky. Then he got the easy K and kind of settled him down enough to get Turner out of it...plus Sanchez then gave up a bomb the following half inning. And the reason he left him in there to hit? Their bullpen is a question mark...
This is the big hope. You'd like to think that eventually...the law of averages will play out for Bregman and he'll get going. If him and Correa and Springer just get going now I'm not sure the Nats will know what hit them. It was at least nice to see no celebrations and smiling over there, that dugout was quiet every time they panned to them.
I actually think it’s a huge disadvantage for the Nats to have to play NL rules against us. It’s so much easier for our pitchers to navigate their lineup with a pitcher hitting. The Astros have a much deeper lineup at the end of the day, so it doesn’t get any easier for Washington against our lineup. And you’re right, they should’ve PH for Sanchez there.
Hopefully Urquidy can give us some length. After that AJ will mix and match as the game dictates probably not holding anyone back. Game 4 is also a must win.
No doubt, it gave Greinke a chance IMO. This was my line of thinking originally but never did I think we would lose both at home though...
Went from this... To this... However, Not out of the woods yet... Can end up back at this... Keep Improving.
Love this. I’m surprised Verlander or Cole didn’t send a message with annoying ass mannerisms after any pitch.
[Positive Vibes] Nationals first loss in twenty days. Felt like they came back down to earth tonight. Big Game 'Quidy coming up.
Ok, this got us back in the fight. Hopefully this lineup is due and we can give Verlander and Cole another chance in a best of 3. Urquidy has all the talent needed, just gotta hope he's locating. He can be shutdown if he is.
Agreed. And Corbin has been struggling in the postseason. It would be perfect time for our bats to wake up.
