I think we could still guarantee his entire deal if we wanted to. @BimaThug could we just guarantee Nene's bonuses/contract even if he doesn't naturally hit them? Making him a 10 mill trade piece in January?
we can let him hit his bonuses, but his base salary of 2.6 mil is what would count in any trade...the NBA ruled against Morey and the Rockets in regards to this contract Nene’s contract won’t be worth 10 mil in any trade, that’s why everyone here was pissed off about the decision made by the NBA and NBPA...the Rockets chose not to contest the ruling...he’s worth only 2.6 mil

"The Rockets' recent contract with Nenê contained bonuses that the league office reviewed for compliance with CBA rules," NBA spokesman Tim Frank said. "Following that review, the NBA and the Players Association reached an agreement regarding the Salary Cap treatment of those bonuses. Hm, I got the impression that what we couldn't do is trade him at a 10 mill valuation even though his he'd only be due 2.6 mill at the end of the season. If Nene hits all of his bonuses, or has all of his bonuses guaranteed, and therefore he would actually be paid and count as 10 mill against the cap, and we still couldn't trade him at that 10 mill valuation then that's some serious ****ery by the league.
I believe earlier in the week they said the team was trying to dump an unfriendly contract on the Rockets but it fulfilled a need the Rockets had...if that is the case I'd say Wiggins or Barnes. Marvin Williams is also in the last year of his 13million dollar deal
I think if EG is off, this bench is ****, especially without Green. the Rockets dont have a very good bench as Ben Mc is wayyyy too spotty.
Nene can hit all his bonuses or have his bonuses guaranteed, and they won’t count as additional salary in a trade...those bonuses are excluded from any deal
