Is that on Pettis or Brantley? Throw was up the line and the catch was mishandled, so it was most likely going to score. Easy to say in hindsight though, but agreed Alvarez being 0 for the ALCS in hitting should be a factor, lol.
Thank you Springer for the Dinger, but I am so disappointed in Gurriel and Alvarez. Could have put the game on ice.
I actually like Judge. He plays the right way, He just play for a team I hate, which stinks. Sort of how Dirk was for the Mavs and Duncan for the Spurs. Gardner is by far No.1 for me. Boone is up there too.
Scoring more runs would have been huge because had they had a big lead, they would have potentially been wasting Green and having him pitch at a meaningless game(unless they came back).
Exactly this. Considering the situation, the depth of the ball, the runner, and the arm it's a good move. Judge makes a perfect throw and Brantley's out by 15 feet. A good throw and he's out by 10. Unfortunately for us he didn't get a good setup moving from his right to left and his throw drifted, so it looks like a worse decision than it was.
Lol thanks ump. But that might bite us uecause you would think he's going to give Tanaka that call also.
Agree with this, everything I've read seems to indicate that Judge is a pretty solid dude. Definitely wouldn't mind if he played for us
Pettis did, and that's why he thought it was a good idea to hold him. Debatable decision for sure. Some of yall may not recall how slow Brantley is.
I figure it's a 50% chance that Brantley scores. It's around a 20% chance Alverez drives in the run. In that case, Brantley should have been sent.
