Stick with the plan. 4 should be a slugfest and I like our chances. If we win, Yanks have to beat three of Greinke, Verlander, and Cole. If we drop game 4, they still have to beat two of those guys. No use stressing our arms when we're sitting where we are now.
If its a rainout, pitch Grienke game 4 on full rest... then base the game 5 starter on the outcome of game 4. If up 3-1, pitch Verlander If tied 2-2, bullpen game.
Rain delayed game helps the Yanks more than us. Their bullpen has been used much more heavily the past 2 games. They need the rest.
Dude's Instagram stories are just him wearing Lakers/NY gear. I think he lived in jersey but not sure where the Laker connection is from. And of course he was ecstatic when lebron signed there.
That's quite the myopic view. If its 2-2, and you have to win 2 out of 3 to win it all.... would you rather have Verlander/Cole pitch at home, or Urquidy/Cole? If its 3-1, no doubt I'm going with Verlander game 5. Also, if you're comfortable with Urquidy pitching a possible elimination game should the Astros be down 2-3, you should be comfortable with him pitching game 5 if the series is tied. The bottom line: I do not want a bullpen game going for a possible elimination game. Verlander pitching when its 2-2 guarantees nothing, series wise, and they have a huge gap to fill in game 6 regardless of being up 3-2 or down 3-2. Shades of 86 game 6 should the Astros be down 3-2.... praying for a game 7 that never happens.
Sounds great and I would generally agree except a loss in that game means Urquidy is pitching game 6 of an elimination game.
Right now, Wednesday is a 100% chance of rain in NY, but some are saying the storm could fizzle. A lot of uncertainty. If the game is played and the Astros win, it is essentially lights out for the Yanks.
Some yank fans finding excuses for the loss..... Tipping pitches.......stealing signs....... Waaaah waaah wahhh
Cole said in the postgame interview that he doesn’t know if he’s ever seen a talent or ever will see a talent again like Altuve. Said he can put the ball wherever he wants. Said many glowing things about being on this team. Makes you wonder if the money is given would he stay? First things first though. Let’s get the Yankees and then a chip.
I think if the money is close, he'll stay... problem is how high will the bar be set for the Astros to be close to it?
I'm telling you guys: Fox Deportes. The announcing basically only enhances the game when something interesting happens and is white noise the rest of the time.
Yep. Gonna be tough. I lean toward Crane pulling the trigger if the team wins. He’s shown he’s not afraid to pay if they win. I hate talking about this now when we are on a postseason run, but Cole triggered it with what he said. Feeling pretty good now and want to enjoy the ride.
