If you don’t like him, you can deal him to heat for James Johnson and dragic in January. Save 4 million dollars this year.
So... Buy high to bring Westbrook in, and sell low to ship Westbrook out, all in the span of 6 months. Great use of assets right there.
I think the gamble here was to trade cp3 for a shot for this to actually work. The upside is this could go perfect and we have an all-time top 5 backcourt ...chip or not. Follow the spectrum all the way down...anywhere in between can’t be much worse than wat the cp3 saga had turned into...at worst we “paid to play“ w this gamble and we’re left trying to deal a better asset in WB... #agambleidtaketoo

Pretty much. I think the league is in denial. They have no idea of how these 2 mvp’s are gonna dominate. They’re 2 high- achieving brothers who have gone to the finals. There’s trust there.
Curry's last MVP was '16 breh, and he isn't going to win another one. Paul outplayed him head to head in '18 WCF, and didn't have 4 all-star teammates.
So where’s the disagreement...all facts. Unless you’re saying any SEASON since Curry’s first mvp cp3 was the best pg in the league...
Fair enough, though even on the last leg of his prime, cp3 was taking it to him. Though on inefficient shooting in that 2017 wcf series, they had similar stat lines when both played.
Cp3 and Tuck played like they were the only ones who wanted it bad enough that yr...still feel that one...
I guarantee, if you go look at his postseason shooting percentages, plus minus stuff, etc., you won't think it's a dumb question.
Lilliard hit game winners on rockets way back when lilliard was a rookie, and lilliard hit game winners on OKC this year. Lilliard is number #2 point guard in this West. Cp3 definitely #3 best point guard but the injuries and excuses made him open to trade for Darryl Morey!
From the SI article: Rivers on WB “Last year, he couldn’t drive without double teams,” says Rockets guard Austin Rivers. “It’s impossible to double-team Russell Westbrook here. We have too many scorers, we have too many shooters. The floor’s too wide. It just can’t happen.” MDA on WB The electricity of a player like Westbrook changes the formula slightly, but not as much as you might think. “He’ll be standing a lot,” D’Antoni says of Westbrook’s time without the ball. Houston needs him to help space the floor, which is to say it needs him to shoot—even after making just 29.0% of his threes last season, the worst of any player with his volume. “If you take the right shot,” D’Antoni says, “we do not care if you miss shots.”
Sounds like MDA is going to use WB as a spot up shooter when he is not initiating the offense. And that will be a lot when Harden is on the floor. I mean, do you want WB or Harden to start the offense in a half course, especially in crunch time? It will just be like how teams treat Draymond's 3pt shot. They just back off to prevent his drive and dare him shoot. WB is at his best when the defense is not set. Once the defense is set in a half court, he's very inefficient as a shooter or as a play maker.
