I watched the video. He's more concerned about them being rude to him than their move here. I do not agree with his statement. He wishes he could be a leader like Xi and control his narrative.
Comments about Kerr's comments is for The NBA Dish forum or D&D ... or maybe...existing threads?? sigh, not everything about China needs to go in the Rockets Game Action and Roster Move forum.
Do Trump's comments make it more or less likely that Kerr someday joins the Rockets' coaching staff? (There - I GARM'd it up for you.)
This is one too many degrees of separation from the Rockets. I don't mind all this political talk dominating the GARM like many others, but this isn't Rockets talk IMO. Furthermore, Trump is a chump of the highest order. I take no glee in him making fun of anyone. Screw this guy.
Sorry, but Trump comments in the past about Kerr and Popovich have always gone in The Dish, and soo ... you didn't GARM it for me ... you just changed the way things have always worked in the past ... whateva...you guys do know this is going to go on forever this year, unless you start filtering this stuff out.
He is totally spot on. They like to talk about freedom against oppression and celebs love to say they fear for their lives while constantly blasting the US and Trump. But when it comes to China the whole NBA is quiet to their state controlled life, media and the pressure. Scared and following the dollars.
Same with the Anta shoe deal thread, which doesn't affect any Rockets players, even. General NBA news goes in The Dish Why has this changed??
LOL The inevitable finally happened. Interesting that Trump went after Kerr. Trump does have a point, Kerr has lots of opinions on things that have no consequences to him.... but suddenly the man that called Yao Ming “Chinaman” (which was inappropriate) now has no opinion and knows nothing about the China/Hong Kong conflict. Couple that with Kerr’s father dying because of extremism and for free speech..... it makes Kerr look especially weak.
I don’t agree with Trump often but his use of “Sad- Very sad!” and “Sad... so sad” with a NY accent is classic. He does at least 5 times a week.
