Greinke is a potential hall of fame pitcher...who doesn’t have his 97mph fastball anymore.
Can still be dominant as we saw the other night with the near no-hitter but we have also seen other games when he isn’t as sharp.

I think he will be on tomorrow.

it was seattle, one of the worst teams in the mlb at the end of the year. TB is no seattle.

I thought Pressly or Willy was going to the 9th after Osuna went for the 1/3 inning.

While this is true, Greinke also had an excellent season. He approached 20 wins with an ERA under 3.

There’s a lot of comparing him to Cole and Verlander is this forum and if that’s the benchmark of expectations then nearly every other pitcher in baseball is going to be inadequate. Greinke is a top of the line starter pitching 3rd for the Astros because we are stacked.

nobody is saying he can't be good, he is. but the other two are just in a different league compared to everyone else. we can hope he can give us extended innings just like the previous two traditionally in this WS run. it's why he is here

the bats will likely need to be much more help compared to the last two days.

Agreed. Expectations for Greinke should be to go out there tomorrow and throw 6-7 innings of great work.

Missed the entire game yesterday. Caught a few snippets of it on the At Bat app during intermission at the symphony and on the way home. Enough to see some of those wasted RISP opportunities. I DVRed it, though. Need to see Cole strikeout 15 and Bregman MVP it up and Iceman Harris.

I look forward to what Greinke brings tomorrow.

Man, the environment at Game 2 was amazing last night. Place was rocking when Cole was trying to get that 15th K.

Indeed it was! This is why I am never a fan of trying to play a closer multiple innings. Our 8th inning just dragged on too long and Osuna cooled off and got off rhythm.

    Nice

Hopefully I can one day cross watching an Astros game in Houston live(reg or playoffs) off the bucket list.

When is the last time the Astros lost a postseason game that the closer came in 8th with a lead? Lidge, maybe? Sure Giles blew a lead or two in the 8th, but don't recall that Astros lost any of those.

Not sure, just know that "4 out" saves are generally not a great idea for closers.
