Tillman, you're a smart dude, so you're reading this board for an accurate representation of the everyman. Daryl is us. Don't be Trump, a gilded age artifact, self-serving, time traveler. History will honor your wisdom and longsightedness.
I almost wonder if he did that exactly in order to get fired...because, Daryl is too smart to not know that this was about to happen once he was going to tweet that.
Do you think a game is more important than American moral ideals? A game... we're talking about... a game... you got kids? If not, it's okay to be lost in a tunnel of yourself. It sounds a whole lot like a hole. How does you taste? Sorry, that's not how we persuade.
if he didn’t want to work here anymore, he could quit and would have multiple offers lined up the very next day...Idk what to think anymore
Vivi do not try to spin this. Noone should expect to be fired for expressing his personal political opinion on human rights violations. It is an abuse and it is not okay and should not be tolerated. Just because it happens a lot, it doesn't make it right.
If he does, he has to know that he will come across as a Trump-like sycophant. He will never be able to consider Houston home again.
IMO I think Morey is gone. Immediate damage control. Tilman is in a ****ed up situation. He's screwed either way
I think the timing is naive though because those labor camps existed when Yao was being drafted in 2002. Nobody from organization hoisted the banner of human rights back then. Protests in Hong Kong was scarce but they also existed several years ago, it is not like they just emerged out of the blue. China never became a socialistic/capitalistic hybrid over night. They were just being that a few decades ago. But now Morey decided to raise his voice. 2019. Harm is done, and we shall live with it. So dun be as naive as to think there is no intent behind this. The timing could have been well chosen. We have this freedom to chose things wisely rather than immaturely.
But it happens a lot, that's what i'm saying. So, if Tilman is going to fire Daryl, i don't think we should be that shocked tbh, dude is going to lose a lot of money, and that's most likely the only thing he really cares about.
True, but while doing a ton of damage to the organization on the way out? Maybe he felt so strongly about this that he didn’t care about the outcome, but he did delete the tweet, so part of me thinks that maybe he underestimated what the backlash would be for a single tweet. Idk
Tilly better think long and hard about alienating Americans and Houstonians. Houston Rockets fans are world wide but he still has to live in USA.
