yeah pretty much. most if not all have gone on to be who they were expected to be. Just saying It shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone if he ends up there in a couple weeks
I like Blossomgame over Clark. I think Nene will still be traded, he is not going to play even a minute with his "chronic" abductor strain. Pretty sure he is not travelling with team in preseason like other injured guys.
Since when does playing in the g-league mean he wont be good or even great. Carl Landry, Clint Capela, Danuel House... The Rockets send almost every young player down there. Clint was a first round pick for goodness sake... It would be shocking if he didn't play in the G-League, but he's proven he's already a possible real NBA player.
Really, Blossomgame over Gary Clark? Secretly I can’t see the Rockets keeping 4 Centers (Capela/Tyson/Nene/Hartenstein). Guess Nene is the odd man out. Allows the Rockets to keep both McLemore/Sefolosha Edited: good chance Clemons becomes a trade piece like Melton was in the past. Since the Rockets are PG plenty with Harden/Westbrook/Rivers and Eric Gordon receiving an extension and can’t be traded this season.
Blossomgame can put the ball on the floor more effectively. And did you see Clark chucking last night? I understand wanting to get into a rhythm, but he shot the ball the second he touched it most possessions.
I saw both can put the ball on the floor (like House, Clark wants to be able to fake and drive); but Clark has the better history of 3P shooting (30% to Blossomgames 26%). Doing well against the Sharks is nothing to brag about. Clark has the greater ceiling, IMO.
Coming from you, a poster, that has repetitively shat on summer league play and what and who comes from it, is highly hypocritical.
Well I saw a high ceiling for Covington when we had him. I would say Covington is meeting my projections to slightly exceeding them. I see Clark equally excelling to that level. Rockets intentionally capped his play last season to avoid financial increases. Let’s judge him from this point on shall we. What ceiling does Blossomgame have? A poor mans Tayshaun Prince, actually poor, poor, poor, very poor mans Tayshuan Prince. Little defense with little to no offense? I doubt he ever sniffs 11 pts and 36% (3P%) Prince reaches. Clark had the 6th best +/- last night while Blossomgame was around 12th. Again, probably shouldn’t judge against a lowly Sharks team. I just think Clark does so much more.
how many years has clark been here? he aint gonna be nowhere near covingtons level im saying clark and blossin equally scrubs at this point
Yes both have been in the league a year. Like Covington when he was a Rocket. We agree that we disagree. I think you will be eating those words, though. More power to ya. https://www.nba.com/games/20190930/SDSHOU/#/boxscore Rockets/Sharks +/- (09/30/19) +37 Harden +35 Rivers +32 Capela +30 McLemore/ GGreen +26 Clark +25 House/Tucker/EGo +22 Ryno +16 Clemons/ Sefolosha +14 Blossomgame +12 Hartenstein
I think most of us saw a high ceiling in Covington. That ceiling is not apparent with Clark. Covington, even in the G-League and his first couple years hanging around the team, was a lights out shooter. I remember a video on instagram of him drilling 10+ 3s in a row, and we cut him a few days later.
Wait a minute... really? You watched Blossomgame play a decent half-game against a Chinese league team and somehow came away thinking that he's got greater potential than the guy who actually played in 50+ games for a title contender last year (and started 2 of them)?
playing against a bunch of chinese nobodies, and summer league g leaguers is nothing. i want to see him and some other guys vs some real competion like in the clippers games.
