We legit just need someone to play lock down defenders. Allen is an ok defender, has had its moments with various brain farts and undisciplined tripping etc. Not sure you need either highlight if you have Harden, Westbrook and Capela around
Sometimes it is stubborness and the unwillingness to try something new. MDA is notorious for not wanting to work with talented in experience just for the sake of experience.
You gave up ariza. Not sure if Gordon will be reliable going up against LeBron in the event that LeBron decides to run the "3" position on a full time basis, ya feel me!?!?
Doesn't matter. Tucker will guard Lebron, Harden will guard Kuzma. Real question is: if Green guards Harden and they put Lebron on Tucker, who is guarding Gordon? They would be quite f*cked. Gordon is not the 3. He's the 2. Harden and Tucker will swap at forward depending on the matchup. Harden has rarely guarded SG's in the past couple of years.
Currently Utah is only favorable playoff matchup for Houston. I don't think much has changed for this team unless you consider okc roster dumping as a change for the better!?
No, Utah are not the only favorable matchup, that's ridiculous. Even the most critical analyst would laugh at that assertion. Utah is a really good team, but won't beat us in a series where we have the 2 best players in the series.
Utah gaining Mike Conley is big but losing Favors hits their front court harder than most believe. The shooter they signed from the Pacers should help them too.
Bogdanovic is much more than a shooter. He's an underrated scorer, and decent defender at PF. I think they are in contention for sneaking into tier 1 (given the new flatter hierarchy in the west).
Last spot will come down to Green and McLemore, which of them can D up better. Brodie/Rivers Beard/McLemore EGo/House/Clark Tucker/Thabo/Ryno Capela/Tyson/Hartenstein/Bennett Clemons & Blossomgame on 2 ways. Love GGreen but Rockets need wings that can D and Ryno is better from 3.
Umm green is not in danger of not making the final roster. He’s pretty much a lock. It’s actually bw Bennett and mclemore cause you’re missing nene as part of the 15
Good thing in the NBA is teams overachieve or underachieve. Being good on 'paper' accounts for just 50 percent of the whole story. The only way they are Top 2 or Top 3 is that the Rockets or Nuggets are flatout rebuilding which they are not.
In my opinion Anthony Bennett and McLemore are fighting for spot 15. But if 1 makes it the other will be in Rio Grande
