I've had that complaint for years about Astros (and Rockets) teams spanning generations of teams. It's infuriating to see a team play like they're guaranteed to win or it'll all work out or this one isn't that important or whatever. And, yet, it always comes down to a few points or runs or a few games that would've already been in the bag if they'd played with the intensity of urgency when things weren't yet urgent.
Yesterday's lineup produced the most hits in a game on the road trip, perhaps he should have gotten cocky again. Regular starters have been subpar on the trip.
At least our pitching has been a bright spot so far in this series. Even Miley outperformed his recent self (only to be way outperformed by Urquidy tonight), and the bullpen has been lights out.
I think the point is he got cocky over about 4 or 5 innings where 3 times the bases were loaded and didn't bring in a run with Altuve and Yuli on the bench.
