Stros are enjoying a franchise record-breaking HR binge. Big streak of consecutive games and lead MLB in September while setting the franchise record for most in a month and consecutive games. They can go ahead and do similarly in the playoffs.
I would gladly sacrifice a HR binge for four or five innings of constructed runs per game. Both would be best.
Astros really seem to be struggling against the "mighty" Angels. If they play like this against the Athletics it won't go well. What's up? Hungover from the celebration? Don't want home field? Minds are elsewhere?
Forces beyond our understanding have the Astros scoring 3 runs a game on this road trip. 2 more runs to go tonight.
I'm gonna miss TK, Blum, and Julia in the postseason. They're as much a part of the team as anyone. I would gladly pay a premium to have our local announcers as an option during the playoffs instead of the horrible national guys.
Don't see any sense of urgency....it's like we think we can turn it on and off like a light switch when we want. Somewhat concerning.
Offense is non-existent, team seems to be sleep walking. Top of the lineup isn't doing anything productive.
This feels like the worst performance for the offense all season has just come lately. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned. Springer looks lost. Altuve...same. Even Yuli seems to be struggling. Ironically, Reddick is hitting after slumping a lot. I don’t know what is going on with the bats. Struggling against pitchers with ERAs over 5?
The offensive production gets more concerning with each passing inning for me. The Angels are throwing stiffs out to pitch with touchdown like ERAs. The dugout is dead,no urging on of teammates at bat...seemingly casual conversations going on in dugout. 10 runs in 36 innings. Good news is Urquidy looks good.
