Agree. It would take new witnesses — witnesses to new and recent behavior from Kav-bro. And unless he’s a complete maroon, that will not happen.
He's well over his crime curve. Sometimes old people offend too, but I'll honestly be surprised if there is an allegation that isn't decades-old.
Ben Shapiro wants to know what Brett Kavanaugh's penis looks like Ben Shapiro, the conservative "cool kids' philosopher" of The New York Times' reckoning, wants to know what Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh's penis looks like. Kavanaugh's been accused of sexual misconduct as a young man, acts that prominently involved the display of his genitals. So it is only reasonable that one's thoughts would settle upon the most critical and salient form of evidence: detailed descriptions of a presumptively-normal penis, forty years ago.
DDs super respectable newspaper that always check their facts had to print an explanation today after lefties like CNN and washpost called them out for their god awful journalism on kavanaugh. They still fail to answer why they left out the 'victims' denial. Just embarrasing. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/16/...ation-yale.html#click=https://t.co/14cNuNYf97 I'm sure this whole disgusting display still sold tons of books.
This guy. To think like 6 month ago this was the guy the Right was touting as the wonder boy of the future. The great thinker of our time. A modern day right wing Socrates. This is also the jackass who says nonstop this favorite line of his-
Ben Shapiro has built a business out of self-promotion. He aggressively publicizes his appearances and debate performances as victories and destroying opponents even if that didn't actually happen during the debates. It has been effective for him and it leads to re-tweeting, re-posting, and then a general acceptance certainly by people who agree with him. It also creates general acceptance by people who are in the level above casual interest in politics. They see the same messages and even if they aren't fans or politically aligned they will buy that he is more of 'thinking man's' conservative with some valid points. They follow enough to see the messaging but not enough to actually pay attention and analyze his debates and performances.
part of this is to send a message to any would be RBG replacement. Is it really worth being on SCOTUS if you and your family's reputation will be destroyed? If the nominee is a woman, they obviously can't go with the rapist playbook. My guess is they will find someone to claim the nominee made a racist comment in the past. There will be no proof of this of course (just as there was zero evidence for any of the claims against Kavanaugh or Clarence Thomas).
There was very solid evidence against Thomas. There was some evidence against Kavanaugh some it was less than solid. Women who believe they have been sexually assaulted isn't a playbook.
Thought on it some more. I think our recurring weakness is that Congress has oversight authority and responsibility, but they don't actually have any capability. That is, they can subpoena people to come and testify but they don't really have a whole investigatory apparatus with professionals like the FBI. So they keep having to turn to the Executive branch for help overseeing the Executive branch, and that obviously presents a moral hazard. The problem here is not actually that Kavanaugh kept whipping it out when he was a kid (he maybe should have been charged back then, but it's too late now), but that Congress relied on the FBI to give them all the information and they weren't going to do that. It's the same with the SC's Trump investigation. They made a report, but don't want to share the evidence with Congress. Congress needs to have it's own office with professional investigators and not rely on the other branches to cooperate with them. So, when I get cynical about Democrats' efforts to remove Kavanaugh, it's because they're barking up the wrong tree -- they should fix the separation of powers problem they have, not impotently rage about an appointment they didn't have the power to stop. The position is so OP, no one will be deterred.
Every bit of evidence contradicts Ford and Ramirez's story. Every witness both have named have said they are wrong or lying. like what?
The calls for impeachment right now are odd on the heels of the NYT fake news article. It seems a better strategy would be to wait until a more credible sexual assault claim can be created.
Meh.... no worries, Trump will do something borderline criminal or say something incredibly ignorant and the attention will shift. My guess is it will be something about Trump and Saudi Arabia or the Hong Kong protests. Who knows, but it will happen and it will only anger liberals more and conservatives will bond with Trump even more..... and all the people in the middle will think "Our country is ran by a bunch of %$#@*& morons" while sitting on the toilet and watching pornhub.
You don't seem to get it, which isn't surprising considering some of the sources you've thrown around here. It takes some integrity to correct things and admit mistakes were made and give further explanations. That's why the NYT has the reputation they do because they are willing to do that. They could have easily just doubled down, lied, and continue to peddle falsehood but they didn't.
This is retraction journalism. Print something you know is false and then print a retraction a day later that nobody sees. And they purposely avoided answering what they were getting called out for. Vanity fair even reports the NYT knew this was a garbage story The NYT is so great because they are willing to stand in their own **** and issue a dishonest explainer. Wow so great.
What are you talking about no one saw it? You did. You are even bragging about everyone that did see it and reported on it... Yes, 10x better than printing lies and never reporting them as lies. A world of difference there.
Integrity to JayGoogle. Lying to smear an innocent man of sexual assault and then after being called out by others for lying, admit you are lying.
