Funny thing is this was back in 2012, Verlander did get beat! Giants swept the Tigers that year in the World Series, LOL! In game 1, Verlander gave up five runs in four innings, LOL! Pretty sure Trump hit the nail in the coffin that year.
Some people just don't care (TK used to be like that, pretty sure Blum had a talk with him). It highly aggravates me though, even knowing that what I'm doing or what they're saying has no bearing whatsoever on what happens on the field. You just don't do it.
Julia asked "How about Toro". JV says "Oh, he's got something special coming." "What?" "Don't say anything, you'll spoil the surprise."
Radio almost has to talk about a no no with people in and out of the game and not ever having a box score to throw up there for context. Similar to you are supposed to say the score and inning on the radio every 5 minutes or so to keep people informed of what’s going on
I was thinking about this, and you're right. Somebody tunes in on the radio with no idea what is happening, you gotta keep them interested. Or you could be like Old Milo and say the score of the game every 2 innings.
Yep. That milo **** was so aggravating. especially pre smart phone. Jump in the car after a meeting or something, tune into the game and have no idea what was going on for ages. Hell, there were times where he’d send it to the break without giving score and inning.
Yep, that's Old Milo. It was painful to listen to, given how good he was earlier. Gotta know when to fold 'em.
I didn’t say a word to my wife, she had no idea until it was a done deal and then she was like “why the big celebration?” I like all most everyone here was sure that one of the TV guys would leak but Blum and TK kept saying “no runs” but NEVER mentioned the no no,
