I'm willing to experiment with an infield of Tucker (3), Altuve (4), Bregman (6), and Yuli (5) if Carlos is going to be on the shelf for awhile. Infield defense won't be the best but at least all four bats are dangerous as hell.
Totally agree. Defense won't be the best, but still more than serviceable IMO, and it gets the best bats in. Rather do that than put Tucker at RF for Reddick, and force Mayfield to be a regular. We need a bench IF, and Reddick>>>>Mayfield.
So basically per Cabrera, ump told Cabrera to quit b!tchin about the balls and strikes repeatedly. Cabrera then b!tches about balls and strikes in Spanish to Altuve within ear shot of ump. The ole when I called you a #^$*$ you won't suppose to hear defense.
I noticed during his at bat he was talking with the home plate umpire. It was before he'd even seen a pitch, but the batter before him was called out on a borderline pitch (one I would have probably complained about if it was called against the Astros). I didn't see the rest of his at bat and came back in to see he was ejected. I figured it must have been him saying more to the HP ump.
It was a weird play. I can see Cabrera being upset if his story is true as it wasn't meant to be heard by ump and ump did screw up earlier in the game, but ump still heard him and was already fed up with Cabrera. A robo ump would have never made bad call against Carbrera earlier so this would not be an issue.
To help you guys feel better and forget about Correa and his back issues. Alex Bregman gets a puppy. Your welcome.
