Not to mention DFW closes up and shuts down all flights at the first sign of a rain shower. I specifically avoid any flights that have a stopover in Dallas simply because I KNOW there's a decent chance it will be delayed or canceled. **** whoever runs that place.
I'm sorry, but this is just ****ing stupid. Spoken like someone who has been to Dallas but nowhere else. And yes, Dallas does suck.
I was born and raised in Houston, moved to the DFW area, have lived here for the past 6 years, and I don't see why it's poor taste to say "I'm from (or I live) in [Plano, Fort Worth, Lewisville, Frisco, etc]" when you don't REALLY live in Dallas.
Besides Pecan Lodge and Cattleack (which is basically never open), the BBQ scene in Dallas sucks. It's embarrassing. Fort Worth does have a few good places like Panther City. But this is a Dallas thread. **** Dallas and **** Arlington.
I lived in Highland Park for a while. It’s a great place. Dallas isn’t so bad actually. You can do pretty much the same stuff in Dallas as you can in Houston. Colder winters, more ice, and tornadoes but less humidity (still miserable in summer) and no hurricanes.
Houston=All about Simple (easy to travel from one place to another, close to the beach, do not need to pay to pick up at the airport, etc) Dallas=All about Complicate (have to pay to pick up at airport, could get easily lost after you miss the exit, too many tolls, etc)
If you find yourself stuck in Dallas, do yourself a favor and get the magic burger at Knife. IMO, the best burger I've ever had.
I married a Dallas girl, and I have lots of Dallas friends, so don't think of this as an (major) insult, but you definitely come across as a Dallas type of guy.
Wow. Now everything makes sense. @bigtexxx , you’ll have to defend Dallas douches, now, to get out of this burn.
I live in Fort Worth. Fort Worth does not associate with Dallas or those suburbs. However, it would be quite funny for people to choose to associate with Arlington rather than just get lumped in with Dallas. What a horrible place. The Walmart near Jerry World has to be the most vile place on the planet. The worst parking lot, the worst view from outside (of Jerry World), the worst people, the worst city, and the worst selection of product (all inflatable Cowboys ****).
You'd be surprised man lol I hear more "I'm from Arlington" than "I'm from Dallas" around here despite the fact, as you said, it's a pretty horrible place to be.
I'm in Dallas, and I hear people proudly talk about how they live in Frisco. What is wrong with these people?
