It’s almost as if people don’t realize basketball and baseball are two very different sports that require different approaches to build teams.
I say this with all my heart: **** YOU @Tomstro for bringing GARM dumbassery into this forum. Keep that ****boi **** over there in one, consolidated place!
Sanchez pitched well for Toronto in his last start for five innings. It takes a great gm to find undervalued guys like Sanchez and a great pitching coach like Strom to get the best out of him. Kudos
The statement was that he sucks, not that I thought he was the best. Obviously by the overall records he does not suck.
I didn’t know that I did bring that in here. Why you blaming me? Somebody made a comparison and I threw in my opinion. And nice ****ing insult and personal attack. Yet you say you want to keep GARM trash out. Quit acting like GARM trash then.
He came a hamstring or a few questionable no calls away, which is more than I ever could have imagined without ever getting a top draft pick. The two are in different industries and have had to take 2 different paths. Morey wasn't allowed the luxury of 3 straight years of #1 overall draft picks.
morey has had to deal with a lot of things that (thank god!) luhnow has not had to deal with. He had an amazing squad that could never stay health in the last decade. I mean we had TMac, Yao, Battier and Artest! that team could have won a championship easily. Same thing with the CP3 hamstring year. Astros have stayed healthy when it counts for the most part. Bottom line is, we are pretty lucky to have both luhlow and morey as our GMs. I thought (hoped) Gaine might be that person for the Texans, alas we are stuck with BOB as our GM
Play stupid games and win stupid prizes, dude. @rockbox shouldn't have ever made the comparison he did in this thread, but you and @solid escalated by saying Morey "sucked". When presented with empirical evidence showing otherwise, you doubled down and said he sucked again. It brings nothing to the conversation, and only serves as a way to rile people up. It's hyperbolic, extreme, over-reactionary, and objectively WRONG. With that being said, I apologize for going over the top with my comment. You seem like a good dude, and I shouldn't have been so harsh. Now let's get back to talking about the best baseball team in the league.
