Maybe, but it’s also possible that Arizona simply jumped at the chance to add more controllable young starting pitching to their team. Once you get beyond Greinke and Ray, they have a bunch of question marks.
so the yankees, rays, and astros are each in on Wheeler? This could get ugly. Wish we had just plucked Stroman for peanuts.
****...... I wouldn't trust Ken Giles to turn the gas off on the stove. There is no way in hell I would trust him against the Yankees, Red Sox or Dodgers.
yall remember when (not too long ago) astros were all out sellers and we were all wondering what we were gonna get for berkman or oswalt or pence.... glad we are past those days.... also has someone reminder our GM that he cant paid until after the deadline to make a trade this year
Yet another corner outfielder dealt for literally nothing. This time a guy that was a GG last year and has an OPS over 900 this season and a career OPS in the 830 range. Corner outfielders, unless they are absolute stars, are not getting the kind of money they would have in the past.
True, I bet he thought he had the "Position Player Getting Thrown Into a Blowout Game to Pitch the 9th Inning" role on lock in LA.
