Now we have 4 and a half ball handlers (Harden, Westbrook, Gordon, Mclemore, and Rivers). I'm excited about our depth, but we still don't have the length for small ball.
Ben Mac is a shooter. He will get open looks. Hopefully he can be Marcus Thornton without the attitude for us.
Man, I remember when some folks here were saying Harden was jealous of Thornton and was holding him back.
Sorry but how can you say his handling is the only thing that he’s bad at while others claim that’s exactly the thing he excels at?! Nothing against you but seems the scouting in this thread is all over the place...
Mclemore has one of the prettiest jumpers I've seen. If you told me coming out of college that he'd end up being the best shooter in the league one day, I'd have believed it. Sadly, reality has him shooting 35% for his career--respectable, but far from what I expected. That said, he shot 42% from 3 in a limited number of games last year, so there's hope that he'll end up being the knockdown shooter that he seemed destined to be. And he's in the perfect system to help him succeed. I'd like to see both our reclamation projects (Ben Mclemore and Anthony Bennett) bear fruit. THE MORE SHOOTERS THE BETTER!
Ben becomes the third Rocket to ever wear #16, along with George Johnson & Rockets legend Kostas Papanikolau.
Absolutely nothing to hate about this move. Athletic and good shooter. Side note if they let Shump walk you know officially where managements stance is with winning vs money
I don’t understand his signing as a Rocket at this time. I plan on learning from this... what I don’t know yet. Looks pretty senseless at this... thanks for the education DM the GM.
Star Treatment for KAwhi . . .he got handsy on the first one which had more contact than the foul call on McLemore at the other end Rocket River
Possible outcomes of singing a Kansas Jayhawk legend : - Marquese Chriss 22% - MCW 18% - KJ Mcdaniels 23% - Gerald Greens' lost brother (who sucks) 13% - Reggie Williams - Rockets legend whose shinned in training camp but got cut on the last day 8% - Tyler Honeycutt - Rockets legend from Sac town to the Rox who also got cut in the training camp 5% - a trade chip that Morey will eentually use to get rid of the horrible contract or Russ 11%
Because Morey knows 'Russ ain't about them hockey assists'. (Shamelessly stolen from someone else at CF.) If Russ passes Mac the ball, Mac better score with it, if he ever wants to see the ball again.... Morey's just not wasting our time by showing any of Mac's skills he isn't going to need here.
