Clearly you don't go to the owner and call in a 'trade, my best friend for Chris' after just 2 years......if you think Chris Paul is a 'Beast'. He ain't no more.
Do you have recordings of his conversation with Tilman? Did Harden actually say, trade Westbrook for Paul? It's all speculation. Both yours and mine. I speculate that he said I want Westbrook on this team, make it happen. That's it.
Yeah sure, but I treat him like a normal person. We shouldn't have to give him the benefit of the doubt just because he is a superstar. He hasn't won anything either. He proved he can't be playing GM. He has no clue about chemistry too. Okay, he is loyal, I give him credit for that. Sure, we will never know the full story, at least the reporters are trying. Players are saying zilch, nada.
BTW I give him credit, his PR manager is much better than Morey's and Fertitta's. He practically says the same thing, it is decent talk. For all the flak Shaq and Kobe were getting, at least they rarely downplayed anything. You knew what's up and they won even when they had beef.
as Don Henley sang.. "There's 3 sides to every story - there's yours, there's mine and then there's the cold hard truth..." Goodwill is obviously a hack... but I aint buying James' assertion that everything was great between him and CP3... it's all about clicks n spin and pr... smh...
This Rockets team communities (argues) a lot on court, if you have watched games. Harden, Paul, tucker, Gordon, and even Capela. Remember when Jazz lost the series, and when Mitchell was asked about Rockets, He said they communicate a lot more (than his team) on court! If you have watched enough Rockets games (I believe people on this board do), you should have noticed. It was very obvious.
I had zero problem with how James Harden handled Kevin McHale..... the reality is McHale couldn’t coach his way out of a paper bag and when he failed he blamed everyone from the owner and GM to Dwight Howard and eventually Harden. The massive improvement in Harden’s game only validates that McHale was the problem. First off McHale was a 60 year old coach and Harden was a 24 year old. McHale for sure should have known better. Harden barking back at McHale was a positive. He put up for his team, teammates and himself and let everyone know he wouldn’t be walked all his over. As for Harden and Paul. There absolutely were disagreements on plays and styles. Both James and Chris are direct and say what is on their mind. However that doesn’t mean they disliked each other or demanded trades. The only player I know James really disliked was Dwight Howard and that was because Dwight didn’t speak his mind and was passive aggressive...... Look everyone is so concerned that Harden and Paul dislike each other. That isn’t how it is or how it works. All that matters in ANY of these relationships in a professional setting is whether they RESPECT each other.
Why? He is worth close to a half billion dollars and needs more money? Has Harden EVER said anything negative about anyone unless he responded to someone else taking shots at him?
Huh? It isn’t that hard. Harden believed that Westbrook gave the Rockets a better chance to win. Nothing else. That doesn’t even get into initial discussions where there was a hope Paul would play WITH Harden and Westbrook.
Wtf are talking about? They could have been in the locker room talking minutes before. And all be meeting each other after they leave. You have no idea. This is a cross between TMZ/Lifetime and the Hallmark channel speculation. Jesus lol
@daywalker02 Players: James Harden has denied it Chris Paul has denied it Austin Rivers has denied Danuel House has denied it PJ Tucker has denied it Team Execs: Daryl Morey has denied it Mike D'Antoni has denied it Reporters: Jonathan Feigen has denied it Tim McMahon has not only denied it, he specifically said that the source of Goodwill's story tried to give it to him and had an agenda to hurt the Rockets. Vince Goodwill has asserted it. You think believing ALL of the denials is "giving them the benefit of the doubt" while believing Vince Goodwill is "Occam's Razor."
