Sign two of Jonathon Simmons, Kenny Faried and/or Christian Wood for vet min and let's salvage a little bit of this offseason.
Our work is done. Acquired Westbrook Signed Tyson Chicken Re-signed House, Rivers, Green We'll see you in September for media day & training camp.
PG: Westbrook / Rivers / Clemons SG: Harden / Gordon / Green SF: House / PF: Tucker / Bennett / Clark C: Capela / Chandler / Hartenstein Definitely need another forward.
Or run A LOT of 3 guard—> small-ball and Harden at the small forward works, too as point forward. The development of Clark or Bennett is key to our success, IMO
This just sucks to think about though. If you hope to be a contending team, do you really want the success of your season to heavily depend on two guys who were waived, and one guy from the g league? If House, Clark, and Bennett all turn out to be duds, we're not in a great spot.
True; Love is nothing more than CP3 at the big forward spot—> aged, injured and over-priced. Iggy would be a good get if we give nothing to receive him but really is nothing more than a bandage for a cut that needs stitches. IMO, Our youth is the answer on the court but paper, too. Where are we going to get role players if we don’t develop them. We can’t just sign them because our cap is all tied up into Harden & Westbrook. Most of this is Coach and his players usage rates. Ariza and Tucker logging top 10 minutes played is just mindlessly not developing talent. Bruno, House & Harrell all produced when given a chance. I think Clark looked really good at the start of last season, too. Everyone of these players’ growth was slowed by coach’s choice to over play his favorites to the team’s long term demise. Are there better players than our youth in the league? Of course, but we can’t afford them. Remember be the one that found (gave them a chance) Parsons/Scola/Bev/Lowery not the on that paid him.
lets get the band back together and sign decker, nene, Dwight, DMO, brewer, ryan anderson, troy Williams and luc!! in all seriousness, I wouldn't mind getting ryan anderson at the minimum, he can be used in spot situations, would also take a chance at luc, if he is healthy he would be perfect for us. besides the former rockets, I think Korver, carter, simmons, jr smith and /or simmons would work well
Yup, that is what it is looking like. Rockets are 1M under the LT. Looks like they are done. I am not holding my breath on any Shumpert S&T for a rotation role player. And they likely go into the season with only 14 players (vs 15). Rockets regular season depth chart. PG: Westbrook / Rivers / Chiozza SG: Harden / Gordon / Frazier SF: House / Green PF: Tucker / Clark / Bennett C: Capela / Chandler / Hartenstein 2-Ways: Clemons / Ponds Rockets *playoff* depth chart. PG: Westbrook / Rivers SG: Harden / Gordon SF: House / PF: Tucker / C: Capela / Chandler
Christian Woods is the missing piece! With him, the Rockets can keep the floor spread but also have still have a presence down low. When Woods played against Capela here, he gave Capela the blues. Hardy and Chandler is not going to cut it in the Playoffs! He's on a 1yr contract. I'd offer a #2 and Jordan Bell
