I dont care if he wasn't fully in, since the moment he pulls the trigger, he's fully in. If he's been forced, he should quit. If he stays, he is responsible.

Don't doubt that if the trade ends up being succesful he will brag about it.

 

If Russ wanted to come here so much, he should have leveraged straight up for CP3.
I don’t have a problem with the swap.
I think it was overpay to include all those picks because it severely hamstrings us when we didn’t need to.

I agree that analytics aren't everything, but I do think they are useful. Analytics is just a fancy way of saying information and interpretation of that information. Fortune 500 companies spend Billions of dollars now because they want to be armed with more information than less. While other GM's haven't gone as far as Morey, every one of them has embraced analytics in the last 20 years and will continue to rely on them heavily. I'd much rather have a GM that works too hard than a GM that arrogantly thinks the "eye test" is sufficient. Despite the results, Morey is way ahead of his time. Also, since Morey has been GM, I believe the Rockets have been a top 3 winning franchise behind only the Spurs and maybe someone else.

 

I think the trade is great. In the case that it doesn't work we will get a lot more back having to trade Westbrook at age 33 or 34 than CP3 at 36 or 37.

Patrick is a "Josk Kroenke" ignoramus. Just a spoiled stupid rich kid playing in his daddy's world and businesses. If Tilman doesn't reign him in and in the process reign himself in, this franchise will spiral downhill and will remain in free fall for many years after Harden starts playing out in about 2 more years. Morey wil be gone. Harden wil be gone. And we'll be stuck on stupid.

Josh Kroenke did the same thing to the Nuggets and Avalanche. Just tore up both franchises while his dad sat around and watched. Stan didn't control his son. Tillman and Patrick are mirror images of the Kroenkes just like Harden and southbrick are mirror images of Francis and Mobley (good call on that @DaDakota).
