WOJ: BREAKING Westbrook to Houston for CP3 & Picks!!!

I fully agree! CP3's contract would have ruined this team for years. Whomever wanted this trade done and made it happen, should get a parade in Houston. What was OKC thinking? And those picks won't be very good if we are playing at an elite level.

Lillard clowned Westbrook in the playoffs this year. Westbrook was the worst player on the floor for the Thunder.

 

With that logic I guess Harden has empty stats as well.

Depends if you want to win games or just pile up counting stats. If you want to go somewhere as a team, Lillard's significantly more valuable. Westbrook's great if you like someone who scores 20 points by shooting 25 times. I don't.

EDIT: Also, as others have pointed out...if you think Westbrook > Lillard, you must have missed the playoffs this year.

 

Yeah Lillard is definitely the better player lol but WB always took it up a level playing against us....you could argue he'll do the same playing WITH us

That's understandable but even if their relationship diminishes(which I don't think will happen) by then we will need a new team anyways.

I'm prepared for whatever abyss we fall into if this fails. I've survived watching Kevlin Cato and Stromile Swift, so I'm sure I can survive whatever albatross comes next.

This here. In hoops I always felt comfortable and played better with the guys I grew up with. Not the most annoying point guard in the league who couldn’t carry half the load during rec league.

I know we somehow disappointed on this deal, but lets think this way. Would you trade Westbrook for CP3, 2 1st round picks, 2 swaps? No I wouldn't. We all know giving max deal for CP3 was terrible choice, but in this given situation, this deal might be very good decision.

 

Every year I tune in to OKC games, laugh, and shake my head. “There goes Russ shooting the Thunder our of the playoffs again. Look at Russ dribbling out the shot clock and shooting a contested 3” etc. He has an abysmally low basketball IQ. James Harden is eons better.

Anyone can be their team’s leading scorer if they take all of the shots

 

You know Westbrook's contract is for more dollars and years than CP3's, right? He's healthier and more productive though.

 

So what would you trade CP3 for and be happy with? Realistically that is.

 

I am not going anywhere until Clutch bans me. Which doesnt seem far away with how much I plan to continue to rant due to my anger with this pile of crap.
