You are confusing bad deals with impulsively, boisterousness and a lack of calm demeanor that prematurely fires people. To be frank, Tilman gives off a perception that he's kind of a moron.
Tilman gives off the perception of a moron and Les didn't? lol As for "prematurely" firing people, he wanted to clean house among the coaching staff. What's wrong with that? Owners/GMs do this all the time. Jeff Van Gundy got fired with one season left on his contract Kevin McHale got fired 6 months after Houston made it to the WCF To quote your original post that started this back and forth: Judging Tilman by what this team has done or not done in the two years of ownership is anyone's right. I, too, have started to question the lack of moves made this summer. But to ask/wonder how Les would have done in lieu of Tilman, as if he was a model owner? lol In the end Les was an average owner--not the worst but definitely not the best. He hit the jackpot 7 times in his time as an owner: 1. 93/94 championship 2. 94/95 championship 3. Getting Prime Tracy McGrady 4. Winning the NBA Lottery to draft Yao 5. Making the right call on Morey 6. Getting James Harden 7. Selling this team while it was at a high No one around here now wants to remember the mediocre years he put us through with this insistence that Morey made sure the team made the playoffs every year when tanking would have been the best/quickest way to rebuild. Remember those years?
