Full one? No! Maybe a part for one tops. I highly doubt Morey is working the phones this time. We are waiting on Iggy and were on McGee, but that’s it.

Morey doesn't do full MLE unless the player is clearly worth twice that. It's his policy, not sure what you guys were expecting.

Guys who sign these types of contracts are doing so in order to show what they have and land a bigger contract the following season. FA's probably saw how MDA benched Faried, knocking him out of the playoff rotation so they chose to go places where the coach would actually put them on the floor.

If Shumpert walks, it’s going to tell me all I need to know.

We have no reason not to. Tilman hasn’t made a money adding trade yet, I won’t expect it until it happens.

Hardens prime and were hoping the org will actually use their MLE

Is this not the shittiest ****ing FO in the whole league?

    “Fireworks”

    “Pick of the FAs”

I thought it was bad when Le$ was here but Tillman and Morley really do complement each other. At least @sirbaihu is ecstatic

I read the OP, and re-thought my position on the Houston Rockets.

Then I decided that it hasn't changed.

Funniest part about the butler rumors is when woj reported morey is getting his meeting later in the week but every other team got their meeting with their desired star on sunday. I called it immediately that we weren't getting him.

    Cringeworthy.

    First: BUTLER!

    Then: TOP MLE FREE AGENT

Then: HOUSE & RIVERS, AND WE STILL HAVE MOST OF THE MLE!!

Now: ehhh...let’s see who shakes free from the CBA

This has been an ugly off-season, from the firing of the coaching to staff, to the MDA contract situation, the CP3 rumors, the failure to even get a meeting with Butler after all the talk of fireworks, the lack of activity in the FA market, and now Summer League blowout losses. Right now a part of me is worried they might have fired Bzdelik and the other coaches to cut costs.

I don't buy that the Rockets are the team to beat. They had a pretty good stretch going late in the season when CP3 was looking like the CP3 of old and they were playing really well, but they got whipped by teams like the Bucks late in the season (which killed Harden's MVP chances, IMO), and whipped again by a depleted Golden State team.

I'm afraid the first sign of trouble they're going to make a scapegoat out of MDA, then blow everything up to begin a rebuild. I hope I'm wrong!

Does it really matter? Shump did a pretty good job on Curry in the first half of game 6. He was rewarded by watching Curry go nuts from 3 while he sat on the pine in the 4th. Couldn't blame him for walking away from that.
