Guys, I’m genuinely at a loss as to how Daryl can respond to this. His mind must be blown. We need multiple high end guys with length, quickness, the ability to play our switching defense, especially now, who can rebound and shoot from distance. Nothing difficult. Wings. Drumsticks. Biscuits. Go do it, Daryl. It’ll be easy! ;-)
Daryl has no hope. He has a stingy owner and limited assets. His only play right now is a 35 soon to be 36 year old Iggy lol. It's going to be tough for the Rockets to make noise. I really wish we could get Marcus Morris, but somehow we are strangled by the cap rules. All these years of cap maneuvering and had us fans thinking Morey was a genius when in fact he has cornered himself and hardly has any moves he can make to make the team better. Your only asset is Capela and Eric. I guess you can S&T Shumpert as well. Then what? You likely won't be able to get equivalent talent back. The market is dry at this point. We have a good team, but that Clippers perimeter defense is going to be ****ing tough.

I’ve bwen thinking about this quite a bit. I’m more than happy Morey got a couple of our own guys to basically take less, well, guess House was somewhat paid. How are the Rockets going to get better? I’m not buying another year together will make them better. CP3 is older and possibly not too happy, we need depth and so on. I know it’s early and no one should overreact, but the Rockets need to add a significant piece or two to really improve this team.
People forgot he was a great all round player as well, one of the best shooters without the 3pt line being introduced. The Logo, man!
It’ll be interesting, to say the least, seeing what moves Morey makes. He needs a couple of guys that can make an impact, but besides figuring out how we can manage that, he’ll also have competition for whoever we can sign or trade for that’s still out there. Plus, he has a new owner to deal with. Yes, Tillman was the owner last season, but he still seems new to me. I’m glad I don’t have Daryl’s job.
He understood lob city had reached its peak and started acquiring assets for his next team. It's genius but simple really, you have to know when a window is closed and just move on.
