That ship has sailed man. What Morey has been trying to do the past few seasons in FA is basically impossible. The only way we’d be forming a super team in our market is through a trade and there’s so few stars to go around if you have a star in a small market you’re hanging on to him for dear life and then most likely losing him for pennies on the dollar or watching him leave in FA for nothing when he figures out there’s no way to attract other stars to your city. The only people who win in these situations are the huge market cities and the players. The more NBA trends in this direction the less people in small markets will give a ****. The nba is swimming in money right now but I think at some point fans will lose interest and it will backfire on them. I think it’s a problem.

IMO both iterations of the Warriors have greater synergy between their individual talents coalescing into phenomenal team ball, and all of their offensive threats are better shooters. The potential Lakers trio strikes as just the Heat trio reborn, something that bullies the other teams on sheer top heavy talent and will crack if you sock it on the jaw like the Spurs and Mavs did.
