Yanks-Sox game featured both starters getting ran in the 1st inning after surrendering 6+ runs each. Said had only happened twice in the last 70 years ('89 and '48).
Unbelievable. Big time spike in offense this year. Let's see how tomorrow's game over there goes. More importantly, let's go for our first sweep since (not sure when, Rangers in May?) tomorrow. And give Cole the W. He was 10-2 at last year's All Star Break (I think), and is 8-5 now. Let's get him to 10-5, shall we?
Springs is going to homer Hopefully the All-Star break gives him a break . A trade can't come soon enough
**** ya he is back. Going to see some buddies in Denver next week and going to both games. Might be Cy and McHugh for Tuesday? Miley I would assume Wednesday game on normal rest. I hope Alvarez plays at Coors. Going to be some high scoring games. Win today and sweep.
Really should have flipped him and Bregman in the batting order. Why have Big Tubby "protecting" Air Yordan?
You didn’t hear that Tyler White is doing the home run derby for us? Or it might have been the Joey Chestnut hot dog eating contest. I forget.
Curious to see how much longer other teams shift against Altuve. If I was an above average hitter, with supreme hand-eye-contact skills, I'd almost welcome a shift that opens up holes not otherwise there.
Is it safe to say Alvarez is out of the "well, Tyler White also had a good first week" phase? Also, I hope they just keep him at DH. Too valuable a bat in this lineup to risk injury in the field.
Until the WS, sure As a side note, Alvarez *seems* like the perfect long-term solution to 1B. I'm very curious why our FO has yet to try slotting him there in the minors. Seems like the ideal candidate, but I must be missing something.
