It's free agency eve. It appears as if Jimmy has opted out of his contract. To obtain Jimmy we will have to lose 2 out of 3 of Capela, Eric and PJ. Most likely the first two. After acquiring Jimmy our complete roster would theoretically be CP3/Harden/Butler/PJ/ We'd have the MLE to sign a center. We'd have some other avenues to fill the roster, but we'd be hard capped. It's likely that our team will be incredibly thin. Do you want Jimmy Butler still?
Ya all the talk about jimmy not fitting in. Harden needs to rest. If you run a 2nd option with just Paul and letting jimmy do his thing, dont know if MDA will let this happen but im sure he let him play his style while harden out. Letting harden rest and not have to play 40+, and play hero ball is idea with bringing in jimmy. Plus with a lineup of Tucker,Jimmy, Paul, Ariza, and Harden, not alot of teams are gonna score on that. Thats a champ team right there, and it scares the La Media..
nothing has changed, my stance has been and will continue to be that Jimmy Butler needs to become a Houston Rocket if Morey doesn’t get him, then he played himself and will look like a buffoon Capela and EG need to go in order to get Jimmy Butler? Well, BYE!!! Good luck on your new team. Harden, an even more declining CP0, and inconsistent/limited role players is not gonna get it done. Jimmy is our best shot at putting a star player next to Harden.
Lakers will also be hard capped. It’s looking like they’ll end up with Dangelo Russell. So it’s their 3 vs ours. And I believe we can find better depth than pelinka
The Western Conference teams are about to load up on talent. I think you HAVE to get him if you truly want to compete.
Yes, I would love to have him, but I would hope that we'd some how change our offensive game plan quite a 'bit. If not, then it will certainly be a drama this season.
I wouldn't give up one of my two still functioning nuts to get the guy, but yes, I want that 3rd star and Butler's definitely a star wing, soup to nuts. Exactly what we need.
