Jimmy Butler liked Bleacher Reports post on IG about Durant opting out.

All this latest talk did was confirm everyone’s intentions. We are definitely pursuing Butler and he is open to it if we can make it work. It does not solve any of the logistical problems. At least it opens the dialogue to try and work those things out but rightly that is a difficult task. We can get out of the realm of doubting people that Butler was a target or not interested. At the same time we can shoot down anyone saying this is going to happen.

I think the hardest push for the contract now is his agent wanting his piece. I don’t think Butler wants to join a 4 player team. If he gets the right assurances including publicly with no hesitation I think he can be persuaded. Then it comes down to working to make Philly happy on the opt in. I think Harris is joining Kyrie in Brooklyn.

PJ Tucker was never the deal breaker from what I was told. He was available in various deals centered around Butler.
