Here come the college pitchers. They've previously had 3 college pitchers grouped together, each throwing 3 innings and taking turns with who starts, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's happening here.
I didn't mean to sound like I was concerned about Lee's defense, it was his first game catching a pitcher with a good breaking ball and spotty control, and he doesn't have as much experience behind the plate as you'd expect from a college first rounder. I was just using that as a comparison for Stubbs. I don't know if they'll try it, or if he has the athleticism for it, but if Stubbs could be a passable defender at C and the 4 corner spots, he could be a pretty valuable piece even if the bat doesn't develop into anything special.
Oh I see. CJ Stubbs also played yesterday's (or the day before) game in the OF, probably because they have him, Lee, Perry, and maybe 1 other C. Yeah, Lee will need more work behind the plate, he also played a lot of corner IF in 2018 because Cal had another good catcher they liked. I'm still confident that Lee can be our future behind the plate. Great post, thanks for the info!
Josh Rojas homered again. He now has three with Round Rock and 11 on the season, which sets a new career high. He hit 10 for Quad Cities in 2017, his draft year.
Brett Conine struck out one over four no-hit/scoreless innings for Fayetteville; he faced one over the minimum because he hit a batter.

Joe Perez hasn't made an appearance w/ the Valley Cats the last few games. And in that game, Yeuris Ramirez came in as a defensive replacement after Perez GIDP for the final two outs of the top of the 7th inning. *Knock on wood* that he isn't injured again.
Didn't see it, but I'm impressed that he showed enough emotion to get the ump's attention. Fox 7 in Austin just had a nice little taped interview with him, will probably be online later.
I think I saw somewhere that it was considered minor and he'd be back soon. He hasn't been placed on the DL, which is a good sign.
