jerry lin! dwert! chris pol! marshmello hamthony! superstars CAN’T play with harden! how many times does this need to happen for you all to see what the problem is?!?!
Do you think it’s because James lied about the microwave incident? I mean once you lie it’s hard to earn that trust back. James was clearly busted. Why not just come clean?
Stephen A smith is a really smart guy . A person can easily rationalize CP3's decision like this ... With KD and klay being out next year for the warriors , and they not really having a way to replace those guys in FA , CP3 wants to go play with his bff Lebron on the lakers and challenge for a title next year . Maybe he thinks Lebron is still better than James . Or thinks it would be a better basketball fit . Idk , see there are a million reasons one could think of . But just because a plausible scenario exists doesn't mean that it's true . Maybe CP3 told SAS something like this . Maybe SAS is blowing hot air out his ass . Would I trade CP3 for ball , Ingram and #4 .... I think that might be a no-brainer . If , CP3 also wanted out . Would the lakers give us a good enough price to move him ? Probably not . I dunno , I guess it depends how the rest of free agency shakes out . I think we are rooting hard for Bos to get AD or rather for him to go anywhere but LA . In all . SAS is likely planting a bullshit seed . But if this is one of the rare times he's actually reporting a players honest intentions then it is very interesting . That's what makes SAS so smart . This is grade A intrigue because in light of recent GS injuries it opens up the west significantly
he shouldn't have played like shiit on both sides of the ball all season and then gone MIA for 85% of the playoff games. instead he should be throwing up 2000 three's a day this summer so he won't have to shy away from the wide fuking open looks harden serves him up
Thanks for posting the video of Stephen A's statement. And yes, he absolutely did say something along the lines "He's heard Chris Paul may want out".
http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=26974904 BW: Kawhi - Clippers or Raptors for him. Lakers should be there on June 30th to make sure he says no to them. Kawhi values quality of an organization. Clippers have a better rep right now. That'll be a huge factor with free agents going forward. Lakers have tradition & glamour and will always be able to get into any free agent discussion. If you can not look at the banners, Clippers demonstrated they're a better organization right now. ... Very difficult to know what motivates Kawhi other than winning. SAS: Crystalize how free agency looked a week ago & how it looks now. BW: Looks like Kyrie is headed to Brooklyn. Durant is out. I don't know where he is with New York. And we have the Celtics & Lakers involved for Davis. What will the Knicks have left? They made the decision in 2010 when they couldn't get Bosh, Wade or LeBron, they took Stoudemire. Kemba, Middleton, Walker, you're not worried about injuries but spending $150M to a non-difference maker. I don't know what the Knicks do. Knicks have suffered most with this Durant situation. I do feel good about the Warriors offering him the $200M. He'll have to consider it. He has left money on the table in the past. He may have to decide where he wants to rehab. Knicks can say if you want to rehab in LA, we'll take care of you every single day in LA. If you want to rehab in Miami, we'll let you rehab in Miami. If I'm the Clippers & want Durant, I'm looking for the best specialist I can or the best support. That is now part of the pitch. Your pitch is how you help him get back to 100%. ... BW: LeBron & AD as your core players with the Warriors coming down, Nuggets aren't there yet, Portland good but not there yet. LeBron & AD plus complimentary players, that to me, if Rob Pelinka is negotiating holding Kuzma out, fine but you better try everything you can to make this deal because the West changed overnight. BW: If you're coming to LA, you're saying I'm rolling with LeBron. Kyrie & LeBron are made to play together. The best complimentary piece he's had is Kyrie. Not the best player he's played with(Dwyane Wade) but their games fit. Their personalities and what they want do not. That's why I don't think it's happening. They've gotten closer. I don't see it happening. (SAS: I've been told no way in hell he's going to LA.) SAS: You're the Nets & don't get Kyrie, where do you go? BW: Great point. Guys that would fit well is Tobias Harris or Khris Middleton. I think they're getting outbid. I don't think Tobias is leaving Philly. SAS: How much do you pay Butler? BW: Max. Maybe you can negotiate on number of years. Jimmy Butler will get 4-year max offers. SAS: You do hear he & Tobias don't mesh with one another on the court. Sixers deny it & have intention of keeping both. Teams talking about them say it's a lie, no way they're keeping both. BW: They want to keep both to protect the asset. Maybe they have to trade one of them later on. Question is can they afford it? They have to take care of Redick & Simmons is coming up. If you have Embiid on max, Jimmy on a max, Harris on a max and Simmons who wants a max, you're talking crazy numbers. Simmons is up for an extension. Rich Paul is his agent. He will not back down. They're not extending if it's not for the max. I don't know how far the pocket book goes. SAS: You know who we haven't talked about? We're not talking about the Houston Rockets. With Durant out, Thompson out, one could argue Houston now have a window to get to the NBA Finals but you're also hearing Chris Paul wants out. Chris Paul wouldn't mind going somewhere else, preferably LA maybe, you're hearing he wants out. What position are they sitting in? I would never say CP3 is untradeable. He's tradeable for sure but he's not tradeable in a way that makes their team better. They need to find the market for Clint Capela to see if they can trade him that makes them better. Only 2 guys they can trade & get better are Capela & Gordon. I'm not trading Tucker. Big thing in Houston and if Tilman was here, he'd get mad at me, I don't know their motivation in terms of money. The moves during the season were all to reduce payroll. They made moves to get under the LT. They gave away a 1st round pick they could have used. They also didn't use their MLE. That's a hard sell to me that their number one priority is winning. SAS: I don't think it was about money. I don't think he believes in that roster. He had to honor committments from the previous owner. He doesn't believe in that roster. I don't think he believes in D'Antoni. Is D'Antoni a championship coach? Nope. He cares about one side of the ball & not the other. BW: They can't get an extension. Fertitta said to the Chronicle I don't have a problem with lame duck. Lame duck is a media term. They've made D'Antoni offers but haven't made an offer they expect him to take. Tilman & Daryl did fly to WV to meet with him but if you want your coach & are happy with him, they'd have a deal done. Terry Stotts got a deal done a day after the season ended.
I’m ready to blow this thing wide open. Team is clearly deteriorating chemistry-wise, aging, and frankly...getting passed by by other teams. Just blow it up. Get whatever you can and start over. Keep Harden since he’s a franchise icon, but other than that? Start over.
