I don't think your justifications for signing Correa are legit at all. He will want something like 8 years, 25 million a season. IF not more because Altuve is. Correa is nowhere close to worth that at this point. Yes he's young. Springer will be on the wrong side of 30. I dont think we resign Correa or Springer. Screen shot this and show me over the next couple years.
I like how people are just assuming he got hurt while having sex. This kid is 25. Maybe we're projecting.
The way that Hinch and Luhnow have reacted I suspect he was drinking and fell or something dumb like that.
Possibly. Think he was definitely doing something he probably shouldn't have been doing and some accident resulting from that behavior caused the injury.
I was saying it over and over in the offseason thread. No way I give Correa a big contract extension. This is his 4th full season in MLB. He's played more than 110 games ONE time. He started the season missing a few games and now he's going to miss another 30-50 games. Plus, that rib injury is going to hurt his power when he comes back. We can't afford to have an Elsbury or Pedroia on our team. Especially when Altuve can't get healthy either and is currently auditioning for that role.
Man, when he was drafted and was doing interviews, I thought this has to be the most mature kid in the world. Slowly, hes been peeling that facade off and showing more and more that hes still not as refined. Albeit, hes still in fact a kid at the age of 25, he really has shown he really isnt as mature and polished as once thought. Mainly for me, the one time Buster was interviewing him after a game clinching win in the ALCS or maybe a one game playoff(IIRC), that he showered Buster with champagne in the locker room and you could tell that it pissed him off.
You can be mature for a 24 year old male and still do dumb stuff sometimes, if that's even what happened here.
His fiance is too top heavy. She needs to get breast reduction surgery to save Correa's back and ribs.
