Yup. No one takes mid range except KD would be insane. Since we basically insist on everyone aiming for 36% from 3pt range, Curry would have to be attempting 20 from 3pt range. Klay would be taking 12 attempts. When they pass off to their C, he also has the ability to dish out 7 assists a game lol. Would be a video game.

They should be in a totally different tier historically, but they are not. Incredible we've been able to even hang with them. Kerr is lucky he never actually had to tactically master the game. All these guys need is moral support and he's great with that.

They have better 3 pt. shooters than us for sure. So why don't they spam 3's like us?

Are they dumber? Are they smarter? Or is just a matter of "If it isn't broken then don't fix it"?

I'd love to know what they really think about our system and shot selection. We play them tough but they have scoreboard 4-0 so maybe they don't even care about our system at all.

They didn't make use of their full bench the last game. If you go down, go down with your full bench.

    Uh lol?

Bucks are a bunch of role players and their best player is also a role player right now. It's a freaking testament to Moreyball they went to ECF at all. As for the Raptors all they have proven is Kawhi is a bonifide superstar and tbh is the best player in the league when healthy. If your "system" needs Kawhi Leobard to be there then that's not a system! A system is replicable by different people you obv can't tell a random person to be Kawhi on the court.

I love all these result oriented analysis I bet you were thinking Ty Lue is a championship level coach cuz he won a ring and Adam Morrison is a HOF candidate because he is a back2back NBA champion right?

Raptors are literally playing the same system as the previous years, except they have Kawhi carrying their asses intead of Derozan Choking. Plus Gasol is a better and more reliable defender than JV, Siakam developed into an all-star.

This was a Masai victory rather than any system. He built a finals worthy team from top to bottom.

Still not convinced, they need to dominate the East like LeBron led teams, almost every year.

I think Moreyball can still be effective in stretches. But the Rockets gotta start running actual plays. They don't run anything & that's why they look so predictable in the playoffs. Guys like Eric Gordon would benefit in a system with plays designed for him. The problem is Harden stops competing when the ball isn't in his hands

When you have 4 of the 5 best players on the floor every game......... does the system even matter?

Any thread that starts in the playoffs after the Rockets get eliminated is a finalist for worst thread of the year.

You know that the Triangle is based on not running plays... but read and react.

Was wondering how high Clipper was. They're number 6. Over-achieved this season (after moving Tobais Harris) and also got two games over GSW. Ballmer had a numbersgeek podcast with GeekWire this past season, he talked about numbers and analytics. The gist is that he definitely valued it, more so as a good supplement to their decision making.

Cuban (another IT CEO) is #5. The cube wants in on the Moreyball.

What is moreyball? 3s and layups only? unbalance offense, I do not think morey believe in that himself.

Moreyball is aiming to set up means to have the highest points per possession average at the cost of having higher variance per possession.
