BIG difference in experience levels there, between Ajax and Barca. Barca's choke was the more impressive/hilarious/improbable out of the 2. I really was pulling for Ajax. But they did this in the 1st leg, too. Got a goal early and then just allowed Spurs to dominate the play from there on. What an amazing semifinal round. I don't know if we've ever seen anything like that...for both sides of the bracket to go down like that. You also have to love the visual of 2 EPL sides playing the final in Madrid after the run that Spanish teams have had in the CL.
so lfc vs san antonio spurs, who ya got? i was hoping for ajax cus I don't know anything about them. tho i think lfc can very well handle spurs, i worry son heung min can go super saiyan and sneak a goal or assist in a couple. i trust van dijk and allison tho.
I've been out of the loop of European football lately, especially first time dealing with the time diffrence. Was rooting for Ajax but I'm happy to see some more Belgian players in the final. Now it's time for the Belgian teams to show that we can also use our young and home grown players and be in an elite level. Didn't even notice that Lucas scored 3 goals until now. It's time to check if there is any possibility for me to be in Madrid for the finals.
Since when are the spurs a german team.. This was a sad evening/night for my Friends and me (they support Ajax).
My CHELSEA! What a day to be alive and season to reflect past. From all the ups and downs this past season. Kepa delivers. Hazard still a GOAT. Manchester City - About to win the EPL, and are in the FA Cup Final Liverpool - Are In the CL Final Tottenham - Are In the CL Final Arsenal - Are In the EL Final Chelsea - Are In the EL Final Manchester United - ...Dropping points to huddersfield.
I think you should ask those couples with a Spurs wife and a LFC hubby.....well the reverse is not that common.
Still a failure of a season for City as long as they keep choking in the CL. Pep was brought in to win the CL. They had been winning the league even before him.
I think everyone knew city was gonna get the hardware. lfc won't win the pl in the foreseeable future. however if lfc loses to the spurs, will it be worse than the hardens being eliminated by the currys in game 6?
yeah but which will hurt more? rox fans seeing the the hardens lose with piss poor play and no urgency nor heart? or lfc guaranteed giving their maximum effort but coming up short because kane/son/lucas going ham? at least with lfc, we won't have to sit thru watching their superstars go thru the motion pulling a tinman (not the breh, rather the character).
That might have been the case when he went to Bayern. Since failing there, you had to believe that he was winning Champions Leagues mainly because of Messi. City might have believed that he would bring them Messi. Looks like they'll have to settle for Neymar. Still, he deserves credit for dominating the Premier League these past couple of seasons and putting together a ridiculous team.
