While that is an interesting theory, it really isn't worth much without proof.

There are plenty of verifiable things that Trump has done that are fair game..... including his odd tweets where he seems to be making reference to deceiving the IRS....... anyway..... I'm sure tomorrow something else will pop up.

I know someone who was close to buying that house for $150,000 but backed out after the soil samples came back positive.

It was built 35 years ago and he said that the gypsies built it thinking that they would buy the adjacent land and turn it into a high class area but they went financially bust and someone ended up in jail.

He said that the actual house is pretty normal.

And im sure thats not cash.

As far as business, his business is still there so obviously judging him as a business person based on this isn't prudent

    P.S.

Do not care about his business acumen my point is there is nothing to see here

There is a strong misconception among Trump voters (and even the general public) that he's a great businessmen. Credit to Trump for being good at MKT himself as one. Other than the tax return showing that he isn't as rich as he claimed to be, I think he greatly fear this misconception being corrected. When people find out how lousy of a business person he has been, they are going to stop thinking of him as a great businessmen and as a great negotiator. Maybe that doesn't matter to you, but those were two reasons people voted for him. Personally, I hear this all the time from Trump voters --- he has great business sense; he got great negotiation skills. We need people like that in government.

Again dont care about his business acumen but this doesn't represent his ability

Furthermore tax returns are tax returns. They aren't financial statements. In business tax returns are almost never the same as audited statements

Trump has increased his family brand and he is worth more than what was left to him

This is a good article on what Trump has done as a business person

    @adoo

Trump was helped by US banks in rough times not oligarchs

    Let it go

You seem to be unable to let go of the fact that other people do care, including many Trump voters that has the misconception that he's a great businessmen and great negotiator. That's the simple point I'm making. Whether you care or not, it's not that important - you are just one person. But I do find it strange that you keep on defending things you don't care.

He was born rich, he had every advantage, he could have hired the best financial advisers and attorneys and built a real empire. But he chose to live the con, desperately averting disaster with quasi-legal maneuvers, sketchy loans, money laundering with top notch advisers Cohen, Manafort, Barrack, Stone.

    He's a fraud and he's going down.

I defend things out of truth. He is the president

Again i know people care and i still don't. The info to start this thread isn't indicative of his business acumen either way.

    Just correcting you

Acumen? he could have put the $400 mill in a S&P Fund and been worth $13 billion. That would have been business acumen.

He's just a born lucky, manipulative narcissist scumbag.

I mean I guess lobbyists who write the bills are citizens... although I don’t consider them “people”....

Why again was the Trump Tax plan unpopular publicly?

Trump inherits a real estate empire
    buys more real estate
    plays the tax code
    flirts with bankruptcy
    Is still a billionaire

This doesn't say anything about his business smarts

What it says is buy land, its the only thing they ain't making more of
