The Twins announcer just went through the rule and if the batter attempts to field the ball in play or interferes with the catcher that is an out. That was about as clear an example of that rule that can be.

So the ruling as I understand it is that Carlos interfered with a live ball, preventing the catcher from making a play on Altuve, so Altuve is ruled out (or maybe in this instance since there were 2 on it's the lead runner?). Correa leads off the next inning.

Yeah, went through the rule again, looks like Correa was the one out. Still, he should not have interfered, would have been ball 2 with no strikes and 2 on.

I’ll take that. Give him an opportunity to make up for being a dumbass and crank one out.

If the runners did not attempt to advance, would that have been an out?

Guess not. Correa out for interference. What a weird play.

Amazing how players deal with what has to be excruciating pain when fouling one off the foot.

I don't see how it couldn't be. Interference with a live ball.

Terrible bunt by Marisnick, brilliant play by their pitcher.

This game has gone full twilight zone...Duffey now crosses up his catcher and drills him in the head with a fastball.

I’m still glad the Astros won the first Texas World Series and not the Rangers..

There's that consistent Angel Hernandez strikezone that we all know and love.
