Durant’s answer when pressed on whether he talks to young guys about things right after the above clip is pretty telling as well. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/outtak...arriors-interview-with-60-minutes-2019-04-14/ Seems like he calls out the Warriors coaching staff in his response.
Yeah, but you got to know Klay is always like this. His pre-game ceremony involves reading a newspaper for crying out loud. I think his Laker Dad Mychal Thompson hinted that he will be a lock on the Warriors, unless somebody coming with a ridiculous supermax or at least full max offer and the Warriors are giving him nothing. Could happen.
I don't get it though, back to back finals MVPs and championships in a major market, getting a brand new stadium, making max or near max money, whats the problem? He doesn't like the coaching staff? Seems like a lot to give up for not liking a group that has been extremely sucessful. Looking at what Bron is going through, he should realize the grass isn't always greener.
KD will never get the love that Steph receives in the Bay...hell, he’ll never get the love that Klay receives either...he’s viewed as a mercenary that hopped on the bandwagon Dray already told him they don’t need him he is no longer in MVP discussions, he no longer gets to put up huge numbers on a consistent basis...he’s not the franchise player where he’s at maybe he wants things to revolve around him again and be the guy the East ain’t that tough...it’s just Milwaukee out there and then Toronto only if Kawhi stays if he goes to NY with another star and all of the sudden they’re near the top of the East for the 1st time in forever then he’ll be in MVP discussions and get a ton of love and attention he could build his empire in NY like Bron is trying to do in LA...Bron runs the West Coast while KD runs the East I honestly hope he goes there...would give me a reason to go back to MSG for the 1st time in forever...I really liked KD and enjoyed watching him play until he made his b*tch move...seeing him unleashed in NY getting buckets at MSG would be a lot of fun
Klay T is super unappreciated, dude is arguably the 2nd best shooter in NBA history after Curry and he plays above average defense. Yes he isn't an ISO player, but tbh ISO players are a dime a dozen every playoff team has them from Kemba Walker to Damian Lilliard. Lockdown shooters who arent defensive liabilities oth are pretty rare. If Klay played on the Rox he would probably average close to 30 a game due to how many open looks he would get via Harden. He should leave GSW and create his own legacy instead of forever being in Curry's shadow.
Durant has always been the aloof type. Klay signed with anta shoes and warriors not making gaurantees for anta mang!
Yeah, he thought winning titles would cancel everything else out, but instead he's just got this stain on him that won't go away. Everyone knows it will always be Steph's team no matter what Durant does for them, so if he wants to salvage his legacy as a player he needs to leave and make a real difference somewhere else.
