NBA players respect Harden no matter how much overweight nba writers try to fabricate narratives The opinions of real hoopers that go up against harden >>>>> the opinions of nerd writers who operate on emotion.
None of those players besides Donovan Mitchell has absolutely killer mentality and ability to overcome as much as James Harden though. He’s got Jordan-esqe mentality in working on his game as James. He takes any challenge personally and crushes your ego without being douchy about it. Even pat Beverly got to steph curry’s Head.
I'm with you until you start talking about weight which has NOTHING to do with being an idiot writer. Stop that ****.
The last time the NBa players voted Harden for MVP, the national media said the players didn't know what they were talking about. lol. ESPN's Fat b*stard Windedhorse, is all over TV saying he has been talking to players and they resoundingly say Giannis is their MVP. What a liar.
N also I'm disappointed in windhorst he listened to ex nbaer.....who obviously are all get off my lawn guys....current players know what's up...u would think that's who he would ask
How does poll make any sense? Harden is the players pick from MVP, however, they find him over rated and at the bottom of the list of players to build around.
Funny and morbidly fat. Okay, fat-shaming is wrong. But if you're gonna be all over TV talking sports, lose the weight.
I don't think you should have to be able to play to cover the teams HOWEVER, I think journalistic integrity has went out the door and that is why the MVP vote has been so shameful in recent years. The biggest media voices all actively engage in clickbait and/or engaging in narrative that benefits their position and the position of the players they are engaging in narrative on behalf of. Windhorst is a great example of this - the ONLY reason he is an NBA media figure is he has willingly engaged in crafting a narrative for Lebron James since Lebron was in high school. He gets the media job because he is an insider, he is an insider because he is connected with Lebron who is the best player of his generation, he engages in "pro Lebron" narratives because that is his cash cow - no one cares about Windhorst if he isn't getting all the exclusive Lebron quotes and Lebron isn't giving the good quotes unless he approves of the style of story you are telling. It's the reason why you still hear people on ESPN saying Lebron is the best player in the game when clearly that hasn't been the case for several years now. Let's face it, we are entering an era where the media voices are either 'talking pieces for elite athletes"(like Windhorst) or "blatant clickbait entertainers"(like Michelle Beadle) and if you are really special you can do both(like Stephen A). The Kornheiser and Wilbons of the world are a dying breed. Combine homer local beat writers with those national writers who engage in some of the tactics mentioned above and it's no wonder you get these weird battles for media narrative. I also think that since they have decided to publish who people vote for, it has created a weird sort of 'group think' where no one wants to be on the wrong side of the winning vote getter so there is more of this, "well who are YOU going to vote for?" thing going on in the media.
I don’t think Beverly is as impactful a player on defense as Giannis, or as Draymond for that matter. Players tend to look at the question in terms of who’s the best lock down defender, and Beverly has that reputation now. Nice to see him getting that kind of respect. The best defender in the league in terms of defensive impact is probably a center — Gobert or maybe Embiid.
