Ramona Shelburne - Giannis is her MVP if Bucks beat Rockets tonight. Cuz 2-0 in head to head matchups. Not sure if she's has a vote. But she usually does. Note: She also voted for Westbrick. Rockets won 3-1 in head to head matchups. Goalposts shifting
lol was coming here to post this. Just another prime example that most MVP voters don’t deserve their vote. They don’t take it seriously enough. Not enough research. Convenient that no mention of Paul and Gordon being out in our first matchup. Probably has no idea of that fact, just that the Bucks won. You can bet your ass if Houston blows them out tonight that there will be plenty of mention of the Bucks recent injuries and that this is just 1 game of 82. Also enjoyed the entire panel picking the Bucks and Giannis to dominate tonight.
Too many haters for Harden to win. Only way i see harden winning is he average 37.2 ppg to beat out Michael and take #1 seat in the west. Yes, that is the only way harden can win in this dumb league.
That gutless turd said a month ago Giannis MVP since Harden's numbers would fall off after Paul returned. He's back and numbers didn't fall. Broussorry making excuses for his pick, then when excuses run out, continues his hating. Sickening. Easiest schedule, healthiest team, and closest competition in conference best player misses 25 games. Let's ignore all that though and act like it never happened.
If you put Steph and maybe even KD in Harden's spot, with his usage rate, they'd be dead in about 3 weeks.
It was disgusting. Cowlinshaw “Harden gets 60 points every once and while but Giannis is a TWO WAY PLAYER!” These ****ers are so dismissive and condescending to a guy who is having a historical season.
Man, these fools know they're lying. This idiot Frank Isola just said on PTI, Giannis was MVP "mostly due to record", then literally one minute later, he belittles the Celtics record by using a "put them in the West" theory. Despicable, yet laughable Props to Kornheiser for choosing Harden this year and '17 -- too bad he doesn't have a vote.
Everybody has come out as Giannis for MVP So basically....tonight’s game doesn’t really matter. Either the Bucks win to confirm what they’re saying, or the Rockets win and “it’s only one game. Giannis’ full season is what matters”
If Kawhi had played a normal schedule like all the other superstars, Toronto probably would have the best record and this wouldn't be a discussion.
Toronto's record without Kawhi is 15-5, which is even better than when he plays. They would need to win all the 20 games in order to have a better record than the Bucks, which I doubt would happen even if Kawhi played all of them.
I doubt it. ESPN couldn't care less about Toronto (TSN) and New Balance or w/e shoe company he signed with.
I like how Giannis average the same pts and 2 more rebounds than last year but somehow this year he's the MVP. Clearly it's the talent added to his team and their new coach who we all know is COTY this season. Also, lest we forget they play in the shitty east, their 8th seed has 7 less than our 8th seed. Let that sink in. The east full of crappy teams to farm year in and out. If this Rockets team were in the East, we'd win 60 games this year even WITH the injuries. Lebron has been dominating the East for years and look what happens once he comes to the West, can't even make the playoffs. The Bucks would struggle to be a top 3 seed in the West. If you want to give it to "best player on best team" then we should've gave it to someone on the Warriors everytime they're the 1 seed in the West.
Who da heck likes Milwaukee though??? Toronto way more marketable than Milwaukee and ESPNs favorite player is New Balance... Steph Curry.
Total points this season: 1. James Harden 2,545 . . . (572 point difference) . . 2. Paul George - 1,973 . . . (553 point difference) . . 31. Jrue Holiday - 1,420
The Bucks have the BEST record in the NBA - just because we love Harden, doesn't mean Giannas is not as deserving, and the way the Bucks play, how hard they play on both ends, is impressive. DD
