For the last few years TMobile has been offering free MLB.tv for their customers. The offer is back today, and expires April 2. I think local blackout rules apply, but it's great for me living outside the Houston area to keep track of my Astros. https://www.t-mobile.com/mlb
i take advantage of it as i travel 2 weeks out of the month. I also use friends and family login when home (dallas) to watch the games on the MLB at bat Phone app as it has a Root sports/ATT sports net widget to watch those games. All i could wish for is for the apple TV app to also have the widget so i wont have to cast from phone to TV
Check slickdeals.com forums if you don't have T-Mobile. Tons of people will hook you up for a $5 amazon gift certificate. Have done before with no problems when I had AT&T.
Also unstable and risky pop ups. No thanks. I’ll stick with free MLB TV and watch every Astros game in HD.
I've been told that bilasport is a stable platform for streaming games that would otherwise be blacked out on your mlb.tv subscription.
Purely theoretically, I've heard bestnhl.com/mlb works very well. I do pay for mlb.tv and would love to pay for an ATT Sports subscription if I could get one without buying an entire cable package, especially as the Rockets are blacked out on ATT Sports in Dallas. It would be nice if the sports could agree whether Dallas is a suburb of Houston or not (though we can all agree it is inferior). Astros blacked out, Rockets aren't.
