• The ball never touched the rim or backboard
• Capela turned to rebound and didn't know it was a blocked airball.
• JV followed the ball with his eyes and got the jump.

You can clearly see here it is an airball.

Yes, he is clearly over the back. If Capela jumps straight up there’s a good chance he will get hurt and that is why the rule was made. His head will get hit and hurt if he jumps up.

 

I think Capela has to be stronger than that. It wasn't the first time he was getting destroyed like that in the paint tonight.

For a guy that 6ft 10 and over 240 lbs, he gets bullied far too much for my liking.

harden is great, no argument, but teams literally have to put their hands in the air and they still get called for fouls against him.

Shumpert finished with a +/- of -3. He sucks and should have never been in the starting lineup.

 

There were two fouls on the final play both on Memphis but one was called on Houston. Just sad.

This missed rebound narrative is overblown.

 

Refs who call that foul in that situation where 2 people are wrestling with each other, knowing that that call is going to negate what happened the entire game and decide the outcome, shouldnt be allowed to ref anymore. That **** just looks suspect. NBA refs are generally terrible as is but they dont need calls like that. That was a terrible call.

A blocked shot that still goes up is still a shot that can go in. It does count as a rebound. So many times a shot gets hit by the opponent and still find its way inside the basket, therefore it does count as a rebound.

 

Did anyone notice Tucker get trucked on the final free throw?

secondly, this is the game thread for tonite's game against MEM, not any other teams, and the officiating was clearly biased tonite in MEM favor from start to finish

Yea its a bad match up for him, he still had 14 and 10 and if Gordon was here we win this game handily. It happens and you move on. No one was saying jack when he did up Gobert and KAT.

Chris Paul had a -1....plus minus for ONE GAME IS GARBAGE
