Saw that Gunn was back in the fold but I didn’t see a reason from Disney. Just out of curiosity? Why? Because it really wasn’t a big deal? Because the cast was going to follow him out the door? Worth a mention I think. I mean at the least you’re admitting a mistake...
I think it was because none of their top directors would take the movie out of respect for Gunn. It's a flagship movie in it's own right, sort of the Avengers of the Galaxy.
I don’t doubt it. They would’ve had to reboot or let it die. Just kind of weird that it wasn’t an issue for 10 years, then you’re fired, now you’re ok again...I’ve probably made a few jokes in poor taste so hopefully I don’t ever get a really good job lol
I don't think he was ever really gone from how it looked. He's been back for months supposedly. The youtuber that I saw talk about it mentioned some possible intellectual property issues with Gunn and GOTG and that also might have prevented him from being dismissed from the project without some sort of major compensation.
Disney Fired him Marvel did not Eventually Marvel got their way Panther - Billion Infinity War - Billion Capt Marvel - one weekend Half a Billion Marvel Screamed - SCOREBOARD Disney was like. . .. ok . . .. do you. Rocket River
Guardians is guaranteed to be a box office success regardless of the director though. At this point any Marvel movie is.
Well, we know that Adam Warlock is coming. Too bad that we don't have young David Bowie for the role. I'm curious to see if any of the Avengers go off to space with the Guardians following Endgame.
I'm happy about this news. Firing him was a bad move as it was undeserved. The Guardians of the Galaxy movies have been some of my favorites. Great comedy and chemistry among the characters yet has heartwarming and emotional moments. It has a similar feel to Futurama to me.
Pretty sure he's doing the ("let's just pretend that other one didn't happen") reboot of Suicide Squad.
Glad common sense prevailed. Unfortunately he's already committed to doing a Suicide Squad sequel/reboot, so this probably won't be out until like late 2022 at the earliest.
This will be their toughest movie. The banter is fun, but it will get old. The plot in the last movie was quite good in the beginning and the end, but the mighty being thing in the middle not that fun. So they have a hill to climb here. Let[s see what they do with it since they have overachieved in a big way before.
