When someone says they are coming into your house to make a statement, the least you can do is make it difficult for them to open their mouth. The boys failed to do that.

Yes, the final scores was close, but that does not tell the whole story of the game imo. It was clear that GSW came to play but we gave a subpar performance that helped them make that statement.

The 'statement' was in the flow of the game, in which warriors led all night except for a few possessions in the 3rd. We never looked like we were going to win the game.

The close game at the end was fueled by a late 14-2 run. Those kind of late runs will be almost impossible to have in the playoffs against GSW.

Hopefully the team realizes that the final scoreline was flattering of their performance.

the rockets played bad for much of the game and still had a chance to win and execute a 4-0 season sweep vs the champs. yeah I'll take that statement, that they can still give themselves a chance to win despite not being on their A game

especially over the sky is falling logic that they all have been waiting for, for the past month

Nah that's a crock of ****. Pro-GSW revisionist history. They won by a bucket to avoid being swept.

That is the only way to play right now to even have a chance at beating Golden State. We can win just like last year by not shooting well from 3 and space the floor for our guards but everything else needs to be close to perfect such as defense, rebounding, and effort. Shooting can’t be controlled for any team not just Rockets, just make sure what you can control each night is done. That’s the Rockets system and not entirely MDA system. MDA is executing and perfecting the goals of the Rockets system.

There's a fan post on the Golden State of Mind site that can be summed up like this:

    1. The Rockets once again ran their mouths off at Steph's "bland" comment about a statement game.
    2. Their idiotic chatter gave the Warriors even more incentive to win the game.
    3. But the Warriors didn't need more incentive because they would have won anyway.
    4. Post-game, Draymond says nobody is motivated by stupidity.
    5. Besides, we don't even notice such chatter anyway.

That last one would certainly explain why you wrote an entire f$#king article about it, you moron.

Faried ceiling: 20, 10 (pts and rebs)
    Rivers ceiling: 20, 5, 5

Just need to fully use of them.

there’s so many pathetic front runners on CF...it was so predictable that people would be acting like the sky is falling after yesterday’s L...these were probably the same people talking all that hot sh*t acting confident as hell when we blew them out at Oracle a couple of games ago

GS managed to a avoid a regular season sweep by making this 1 of the few statement games they’ll have throughout the course of the season...good for them

    losses happen, get over it

Did y’all forget that we lost game 1 of that WCF series by 13? I remember people saying we were gonna lose in 5 after that game. That game looked a lot like yesterday’s game tbh minus Harden playing well. The Rockets will be lucky to win any game against GS with a busted Harden shooting 2-12 from 3. Even then, it was only a 7 point game heading into the 4th. I feel nothing after last night’s game. On to the next one. Boogie is less likely to ball like that with KD in the lineup. Somebody has to take a backseat. We’re gonna act like Boogie didn’t look like a liability 2 weeks ago against the Rockets?

GS have different rotations and have different game plan from Game 3.
    How can this happen?
At the final 4 seconds, 34-years old Iggy ran much faster than Chris Paul, why?

That's the story of the game.. GS wanted the game more than us.. They ran faster for loose balls all game long.

    I don't think that poster was pro-GS

The final score last night was a fluke ... we were lucky to be that close considering how poorly we played .

and yes... them warriror b****es came in & made a statement..
Yes, we're won the series 3/1 but we didn't show up last night.. Well only CP3 did.. Harden was ****ing lackadaisical out there..
shooting breaks after breaks & almost seem to forgot out he can actually help the rockets win when he's off like penetrate & get the call or penetrate & kick out to open men..
When he's off he wants to break all the way till we're 6 foot deep or till we loose a lead.
Good thing CP3 is healthy & is able to cut down some of Harden's pathetic off night plays & too bad it was not enough to get us the W.
And do you guys notice, when we get the W, harden would say he had to do what he had to etc. but when we loose... "WE" didnt have a good game or we have to do better...

3 games in 4 nights has a lot to do with it plus the Warriors had two more days to rest before playing the Rockets.

I think what screwed us up the most (other than the obvious missed 3s) was that Golden State pretty much ran their offense through Boogie all night. They've only played that style against us using Draymond, who's no threat whatsoever near the basket. Cousins could create his own offense down there if he couldn't find someone to pass to. In fact, the very threat he presents in the paint caused our helpers to sag and created open looks on the perimeter. Giving Curry and Klay open looks is playing with fire.

I think using Cousins to direct the offense caught Biglydick and his players completely off-guard. They never saw that coming when they were doing game prep, and they had no answer for it. I trust that when we see it again in the playoffs, they'll be better prepared to handle it. In fact, if we had tried harder to expose Boogie on defense, he would have been on the bench instead of directing traffic.

Rockets started slow for sure but they were pretty much on GSW heels for 3 quarters. Even pulled ahead at one point. 5 on 8, desperate, with a totally new game plan and the Rockets struggling to hit shots consistently isn't a statement dude. They didn't send us a message. They held on for dear life and got lucky Harden is in a shooting slump. Rockets did not get blown out and make garbage time interesting, that's not what happened and it's revisionist history to suggest anything like that happened.

Rockets already made 2 statements by rolling up into Oracle minus CP3 and then Harden and coming out with a win...late night cry babies after every L need to go away

It appears Boogie has figured how to stay on the floor against the Rockets.
