No guarantee House will shoot at the same percentage if you bring him back. Shumpert is a good 3 point shooter and a good defender, he can take up minutes which is what is needed in the playoffs especially if there is an injury. His long twos aren't a great shot bu tthere is still time to fix that, and let's not forget he was injured for a few weeks and has had limited playing time.
Shumpert is truly awful and he still isn’t even one of the 5 worst players we added this season. Amazing.
lol shrump is anything but a good 3 point shooter. Hes still a decent defender but undersized for what we need
I’m not impressed by his performance but I’m not going to cut him or not play him yet. He can defend perimeter players and when confident can shoot 3’s well enough to not be a liability. There are only so many options at this point. The Rockets need to see what they can get out of guys like Faried, Shumpert and Rivers heading into the post season.
Shumpert is not that good, but I feel like he could be useful to us still. Paul George, Kevin Durant, Kawhi, Giannis. These were the reasons he was acquired. To be able to man up on them without needing help.
He is average against longer players like those you listed. He is very good defensively against 2’s and 1’s. He can cause some issues for the Warriors starting backcourt if he shoots well enough from 3 to stay on the court.
He was supposedly brought in to be the "Curry" stopper not the Durant/PG13/Kawhi/Giannis stopper. You must have gotten him mixed up with someone else.
Trade him before he F up everything and be hitting 0/20 like ariza and Brewer back then in the playoffs.
When the draft comes, no one will be able to complain about trading away a promising young player since we don’t have any picks to begin with. Morey is a genius!
He was shooting 39% on catch & shoot in Sactown which is very good for what we need him to do here. Throw in his strong D and he's a great piece to log minutes - he just needs time to get fully healthy and acclimated. I am sure he can cut down on those long 2's - he did it before he was out.
Michael Carter-Williams is a rich man's Emon Chumpert. I think the numbers are clear: we need to bring back MCW @Williamson MCW Shump SeasonAgeTmLgPosGGSMPFGFGAFG%3P3PA3P%2P2PA2P%eFG%FTFTAFT%ORBDRBTRBASTSTLBLKTOVPFPTS2018-1927HOUNBAPG1619.11.63.8.4100.41.2.3681.12.6.429.4670.81.6.4620.20.60.81.30.60.40.61.74.3 SeasonAgeTmLgPosGGSMPFGFGAFG%3P3PA3P%2P2PA2P%eFG%FTFTAFT%ORBDRBTRBASTSTLBLKTOVPFPTS2018-1928HOUNBASG7016.01.14.4.2581.03.9.2590.10.6.250.3710.00.00.00.31.61.91.00.40.10.62.33.3 SeasonAgeTmLgPosGGSMPFGFGAFG%3P3PA3P%2P2PA2P%eFG%FTFTAFT%ORBDRBTRBASTSTLBLKTOVPFPTS2018-1927HOUNBAPG1611452561.410719.3681842.429.4671226.462310132196102769 SeasonAgeTmLgPosGGSMPFGFGAFG%3P3PA3P%2P2PA2P%eFG%FTFTAFT%ORBDRBTRBASTSTLBLKTOVPFPTS2018-1928HOUNBASG70112831.258727.25914.250.37100.0002111373141623
He moves the ball well considering his limited time with the team and he's active on defense. On offense though, he's worse than Ennis was.
This, let's give another 7-8 games, uninjured, and locked in. Remember how hot Rivers started with us, then fell back down to earth? The opposite could happen with Shump, easily. If he has a playoff, game-saving steal, all will be forgiven rather quickly...
Shump just needs to be aggressive and drive hard to the hole in particular Capelas man so he can draw the lob
you guys are only saying he played well because he made two threes.... he did not play well IMO. he still looks like he doesn't get what we are trying to do.
Saw cp3 trying to get him involved..expect more of that..cp3 see he needs to find away to get him going. Haters gonna hate. It's not as if we need shump right this second so I'm chill bout it
