Danuel House Contract Options (I have grown to love LTS)

Its House who doesn't want to sign the deal no matter how much you scream "We need House" the Rox can't make him sign a deal he doesn't want to sign.

 

The team is better with him on it. I just think its in the best interest of both the team and the player to come to some agreement beyond this season's end.

What we don't know is what the House camp is asking for - is it most or all of the MLE or is it a sum like $100k-$500k over the minimum ? We really don't know.

 

He was offered a long term deal. 3 years guaranteed. He would have earned 4.2 millions dollars.

As it stands, the next NBA offer sheet he looks at will say $50k. Oh, and it is compulsory for him to take that money. Then, if by some miracle, a team wants him, the Rockets can match.
In which scenario is it wise for the Rockets to throw extra cash at him just for the sake of it???

 

It is a LONG way from the best interests of the team to sign him before seasons end.

Leta not forget he had a handful of nice games last season for the Suns. But they didn't want him this year.
Couldn't make the Rox squas
Couldn't make the Warriors squad
Gets a chance to enter the NBA on a guaranteed 3 year deal (as all rookies get the chance) but turns it down because he wants more....

You want more? Prove it over a few years.

As far as the claim the team is better eith him on it?

They can convert him at any time....he is on a 2 way contract with the team.

We have 9 playoff rotational players. The guy wants to take away all our flexibility after 25 decent games. Most players would jump at $4.2MM when you are making $50K. The guy is foolish, and I am not sure you want someone that unwise on your team.

no, we do need him, because he has proven his worth, and like i keep saying, WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET. We don't have multiple all-stars like other teams. like faried, house has proven his value also.....shump looks like trash. more size, more athleticism, better shooter. its that simple. im not sure why you guys are ok with settling for less knowing what this team is up against.
