This has been BY FAR my biggest problem with Trump. I had wrote about it in another thread a few months ago and I'm curious to dig into the numbers now to see the trajectory of things. Long story made really short we are very near a tipping point with interest payments exploding and no one really seems to have noticed.
I can't, for the life of me, understand Trump, Republicans and Democrats, desire to spend such outrageous sums on the military. I just don't get it.
If Trump thinks shutdown politics will help in 2020 go for it. Lets go through this again. I'm sure it will work out well for you.
My guess that trump's budget will not be approved. Much of this was proposed in previous budgets, and now with a split congress the odds of much if any of this getting approved is slim and none (and slim rode off). But really interesting he proposes cuts to important and popular domestic (eg Medicare, breaking a campaign promise) while boosting military and vanity wall spending.
The no. 1 source of bankruptcy in America is medical debt, and we want to was 800 billion fighting the bogey man?
I really don't get why we need 800 military bases in 70 countries. The Cold War ended 30 years ago. What a waste of money. Yet, seemingly almost everyone on both sides of the isle are cool with the status quo.
Try harder. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/trump-budget-discussion-thread.297030/#post-12279680 I know the budget he submitted is a total embarrassment and difficult to defend, but me posting specific criticisms of his budget does prompt discussion. At least it would, if it was defensible.
Honestly was scanning down and missed it because of the forest of tweets in this thread. Anyway, I would like to see him cut spending more, including the military which needs to stop contracting outside and have internal programs to save money.
Sure, but Medicare, but spend more on his vanity wall and his daughter's fund... Trump budget to include $100M for daughter Ivanka's women's fund The funds would come through the U.S. Agency for International Development budget, an agency whose budget Trump previously sought to cut. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/po...e-100m-daughter-ivanka-s-women-s-fund-n980881
