This is crazy. That's not the first time Gordon's had a "sore knee" this season. I think he's been playing through some of it. You'll see him touch that knee from time to time on the court, like it's bugging him. What did we do to the basketball gods? It doesn't matter. We will win anyway. Rockets by 1
This feels like a complete loss here. Gordon resting because of a sore knee - like how did that happen? I mean he sucked balls last night in Charlotte. Harden completely banged up you know he is going to be shooting like 1-8 from 3 tonight too. Shumpert and Faried out - this could be pretty ugly quick and it sucks because tonight is a PRIME opportunity when it comes to the standings. OKC has a tough road game against Philly even with Embiid out Jazz have a road game against Denver Portland plays at Toronto tomorrow. Best case scenario - OKC, Jazz, and Portland lose and Rockets win - Rockets would then be 1 game behind the 4th seed, 1.5 behind the 3rd and 2.5 ahead of the Jazz for the 6th. Worst Case - All 3 of those teams win and the Rockets lose - Rockets now 3 games behind the 4th, 3.5 behind the 3rd and only 1/2 game ahead of the 6th. I get the rest vs rhythm argument but unless there is a serious risk the Rockets NEED to be in the rhythm mindset right now they have not had it all season and there is nothing to suggest this team has a "switch" the same way the Warriors do to just turn it on a week before the playoffs. **** this really upsets me, this was a trap game as is, but now its pretty much a schedule loss at one of the worst times possible.
