I don't think we can choose prime Artest, just Rocket Artest. You should know the rules.

It's a tough pick between Artest and Battier, but I think the best choice is 06-07 Battier.

Kobe needed a LOT of shots to put up those points against Battier. Playing the Rockets was a nightmare for him when we started Battier and Artest.

Definitely think Battier has the slight edge for his career, but just matchup wise I think we can use a MWP for these Warriors. Worth it just to see him put Donkey in his place.

Battier never had a single season with the Rockets that he didn't shoot a significantly higher TS% then Artest did in 08-09. I think the 06-08 seasons Battier was a significantly better defender then Artest as well.

I don't think you can translate TS% effectively. People in this offense shoot differently than that offense. Not arguing who the better defender was.

I don’t think Harden would like playing with Ron, so I pick Shane.

Artest easily. I have no idea why so many are picking Shane. Artest wasn't a bad 3pt shooter at all, he shot almost 40% the year he was here. Extremely tough, great defender.

Shane would be the second choice.

    I picked Battier.

Whoever picked Artest, he's going to leave you for the Warriors next year and change his name to Metta World Peace.

You really think if we had 09 Artest on that 07 squad, we'd have lost in the first round? The only time we ever made it to the second round in the 00s was just as much due to his performance as it was Yao's that series.

I don't believe that factors into the OP.

Either Shane or Ron Ron. Looks like most people feel the same.

Scola is my favorite player out of those mentioned but he would get absolutely torched in todays nba.

We already physically overpower the Warriors. With Artest we would squish them.

If I could trust Artest to stay focused for an entire playoff run, I’d take him. But give me Battier for his defense, three point shooting, and overall consistency.

Artest in his prime was a load. Battier had a lot of heart, good defender, but his shooting was overrated on this board.

Ron with the ROX logo in his hair. Ooof can you imagine Ron Artest vs Draymond Green? That would be the perfect PF to put in between Cap and Tuck. Could play the switch D and hit the 3. Shane has BBall iq out the ass, but he doesn't have enough sand in his pants to get dirty inside. He strictly perimeter guy and for that it goes to Ron.
