Austin Rivers hs been GREAT for us because he is a vet min signing after being bought out. But when your “Point God” that is getting 35 million a year is playinf the equivalent if not much better that is not a good sign.

 

We lost a game that Harden should have sat out, in my opinion. He clearly wasn't himself. Yes, he scored over 40 points and people that didn't watch the game and simply looked at the box score will think that's a crazy comment, but it's one I believe. James is only human. He's pushing himself too hard and we don't have a coach that will make his most valuable player take a game off when he's clearly banged up. I'm not crazy about how we finished going into the break. I'm also not crazy about not having House. He would have helped a lot tonight, in my opinion.

 

Paul I think is being smart with his body. He shouldn’t over extend him and the hammy because it could go at any minute.

 

Can you believe Gordon turned it down. EG saved morey from himself

 

House on Teague or even Rivers would have been handy

 

In addition to the porous defense, defensive rebounding killed us. IMO, it was due to lack of effort, not size - as some are eluding to.

Boxing out may be one of the easiest things to do in the game, and size doesn’t matter.

At least if they reach over you for the board there’s a good chance a foul is called. If not, there’s a decent chance you’ll be in position for the board.

Having said all that, I’m chalking up this lack of effort to the All Star break. They even said on the broadcast a lot of the guys were leaving for tropical destinations straight from Minny.

And it’s clearly the team offense is much better tonight when he is controlling the ball and Harden sat down.
